Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top TEN Books I’d Slay a Lion to Get Early
Yeess!! Love this topic. If you want to see more about them, I’ve added their Goodreads links!
Okay, I thought this would be so easy. I started this when I started a movie, Molly’s Game. It’s almost over and I am just now finishing. I didn’t realize how many books I am lucky enough to have read early. So, it was a bit hard to get my top 10 in here! Also, Molly’s Game isn’t too bad of a movie either.
1. Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
October 23, 2018
I would seriously do anything to get my hands on this early!!! I cannot wait for the ending but at the same time, I’m so sad. lol
2.Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare
December 4, 2018
Another ending that I can’t wait to read. I really wish I could read this now!!
3. The Wicked King by Holly Black
January 8, 2019
Come on January!!! I can’t wait for this one. They have done a couple giveaway’s for an early ARC. I have not won 😦
4. Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas
August 7, 2018
I’m really intrigued by this! I read Wonder Woman and really enjoyed it. I need to get my hands on Batman.
5. A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir
June 12, 2018
This one is not that far off. I’ve been dying to get my hands on this but I haven’t seen it appear as an ARC anywhere!
6. Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
October 2, 2018
I can’t wait for this one because I want to wait to read the first book, until I have this one in my hands!
7. Wildcard by Marie Lu
September 18, 2018
This is the second book in the Warcross series. I can’t wait to see where this story goes!
8. The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee
October 2, 2018
I can’t wait for this one because I loved Felicity in the previous books!
9. Legendary by Stephanie Garber
May 29, 2018
I’m excited to see where this story goes! I pre-ordered it because I couldn’t get an e-ARC but I wish I would have! Not too long of a wait though!
10. All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover
July 17, 2018
I pre-ordered a ticket/book for her signing. She’s coming in August to my city! I wish I could read this now though!!!
All these books look so good! I’m definitely looking forward to reading the two books by Sarah J. Maas and All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover!😊

So many good books on this list. I can’t wait for Kingdom of Ash!! It’s been far too long after that Empire of Storms ending. Catwoman is also on my radar.

Yes, I completely agree. It’s been way too long! I’m hoping that means the ending is epic!!

I forgot about Catwoman!!! Ughhhhhhhhhh I can’t wait. The preorder bonus is so cute!

I know!!! I’m trying to decide if I want to pre-order or see if it goes down a few bucks before the release. Have you pre-ordered it??

Both of those Sarah J Maas’ books as well as the Wicked King are on my anticipated list of upcoming books.
Bardugo’s new book as well as Arden’s are also there. Nice list! 😊

She does but we have to wait till January I think. It’s about Nikolai from Grisha series and it’s called King of Scars. Its cover has just been revealed and I am looking forward to getting my hands on that book. 😂😊

I have not read the Grisha series yet. I must now! I have the first book and have been meaning to get to it but haven’t. I will move it up the TBR list in the fall time. :):)

I’ve seen all of these on multiple lists today, so I guess you’re not the only one who’s excited for them! I haven’t read any of these series yet. *Sigh* So many books, so little time …
Happy TTT!

Thank you!! I’m so glad to see more CH fans today!! I don’t really see her books advertised much, so I’m glad that there are so many fans 🙂

I discovered CH a few years ago and while her books are emotionally draining, they are absolutely amazing. Her writing is just so full of heart. I hope I can meet her one day.

Yeah, totally agree about her books. She’s actually coming here for a book signing in August!! I bought my ticket the day they announced it! I’m really excited.

Thank you for reminding me that I need to finally pick up Warcross. I also am a stoked for The Wicked King. I also have not won an ARC. Let’s wallow together 😦

You are welcome! 🙂 Let’s do it. I feel like it’s a lot harder to get an ARC than it used to be!

Especially the more popular titles. I feel like you have to be a part of an exclusive club to even come near these ARCs.

Yeah, that’s true! I feel like that my feedback score is always over 90% and I’ve reviewed about 60 books on Netgalley. Still. I get declined for the popular books!

Wow, 60 books is impressive. So many of the books are “wish for it” these days and I still haven’t been lucky in that department.

Yeah, that’s over 4 years and I’ve been declined for just as many. Yes! The stupid “wish for it.” I have never received one of those 🙄

I should have definitely put The Wicked King on my list this week too! And Muse of Nightmares too actually.

Yeah, it looks gorgeous! I’ve heard so many things about Strange the Dreamer. At this poing, I’m just going to wait for the second book before I start.

Yesyesyes to every book on this list!
Although I haven’t read anything by Sabaa Tahir yet – the cover is simply gorgeous. Haven’t read Strange the Dreamer yet either, but I’m in the middle of reading the Daughter of Smoke and Bone-trilogy, so I might just get my hands on a copy of it after that!
