Attacking the TBR bookshelves!

~Attacking the To Be Read Books~

Has anyone done this?!?! I know that I’ve seen some Booktubers do this, to pick books from their TBR list.

I decided that I wanted to do it too. It took me about 3-4 hours from start to finish. I did an Adult and a YA jar. I’m not quite sure how many books I want to pull a month but at least, one from each jar. If I pull a random book in a series, I’ll read the next one I need to read. I figure there will be some kinks to work out.

Do you have something like this? What to do you do, to make sure you get to your TBR books on your bookshelves?? Do you have any ideas on how I should do attack this?

  1. I’ve seen this idea before and I think it’s really good. Unfortunately it wouldn’t work for me as I am such a mood reader. I also like to mix up my genres when I read. I hope it works for you!

  2. I did make a jar a while ago, and it looks so cute sitting atop my desk…but I keep forgetting to pull from it. LOL.

I do have notebooks in which I list all the books I acquire…and I flip back and forth in that to find books to read.

  3. I tried a TBR jar for a month back in January and.. while it was fun enough at first, it quickly got on my nerves because I felt like reading a specific genre and the jar didn’t give it to me, haha. Someone recommended to me afterwards to use genre-colors for the notes next time. I might actually give that one a try someday, but for now.. I’m just going to stick with creating TBR’s every month. 😛
