May Monthly Wrap Up!

This month was even crazier than last month. My brother had his wedding, it was my birthday and we started our fertility drugs. It’s been insane and I’ve been sick most of it. So, my reading has really taken a hit. I think I’m going to really set the bar low for next month to kind of take the pressure off.

I’ve read 13 books for a total of 4,491 pages!

I also got 3 books checked off my A to Z reading challenge!

All my reviews are linked in the titles!

BOOKS READ:

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely FineReign the Earth (The Elementae, #1)A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3.1)Fangirl

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman (library copy)– 4/5 stars! I really enjoyed this one. This is one that I kept seeing all over booktube and was skeptical. I’m glad that I joined the hype on this one. It did not disappoint!

Reign the Earth by A.C. Gaughen (library copy)– 4.5/5 stars! I LOVED this book so much. I don’t know why I don’t see many people talking about it because it’s amazing. I saw so many people talking about Children of Blood and Bone, which was really good. I liked this one better! So, I’m still a little shocked that I don’t see it more.

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas (my copy)– 4/5 stars! I enjoyed this book and gave it 4 stars. I don’t know that it was necessary and really I loved all the things Nessa in this one. I can’t wait to read more about her. I’m kind of over Feyre and Rhysand. I know, I know! I’m just ready for more of the supporting characters.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (my copy)– 4/5 stars! I can’t believe it took me so long to read this one! I really enjoyed it and get why so many people were talking about it.

The Girl Who Chased the MoonChina Rich Girlfriend (Crazy Rich Asians #2)LIFEL1K3 (Lifelike, #1)The Art of Escaping

The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen (my copy)–  3/5 stars. This one was sitting on my shelf for a long time. I picked it up for a challenge and I was disappointed with this one. I will be donating it to my library.

China Rich Girlfriend by Kevin Kwan (my copy)– 4/5 stars! I really like Kevin Kwan’s writing. His books are full of drama and just so much fun.

LifeL1k3 by Jay Kristoff (e-ARC)– 4/5 stars. Science Fiction is typically not my genre but this one was a lot of fun! I can’t wait for the next one.

The Art of Escaping by Erin Callahan (e-ARC)– 3.5/5 stars. I liked this book. It was fun and entertaining but it did have a bit of a slow start.

The Kiss Quotient (The Kiss Quotient, #1)The Hundredth Queen (The Hundredth Queen, #1)The Fire Queen (The Hundredth Queen, #2)Batman: Nightwalker (DC Icons, #2)

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang (e-ARC)– 3.5/5 stars. I was disappointed with this one. It was not what I was expecting and I thought it was sweet and quirky.

The Hundredth Queen by Emily R. King (own copy/ebook)– 3/5 stars. This one was a bit of a let down. Interesting enough for me to keep going but I was expecting a lot more.

The Fire Queen by Emily R. King (own copy/ebook)– 3/5 stars. This one was a bit better than the first. We get a lot more actual world building and plot.

Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu (library copy)– 3/5 stars. I liked the story but it was disappointing to me. I think I expected a lot more from Marie Lu. She did a great job writing the story but the story itself is just meh.

All the Little Lights

All the Little Lights by Jamie McGuire (e-ARC)– 2/5 stars. I really didn’t like this book. The story was really slow and the plot was boring. I didn’t care for the main characters either.

That’s a wrap! I guess I read more than I thought. It was all mostly in the beginning of the month though. I really have lost a lot of my will to do anything the last half with all these fertility meds. I’m not sure how many books I’ll be reading next month. I know one for sure. I’m doing buddy read! 🙂

What did your month end up looking like??
