Questions from Maddie:

Glass Half- Empty or Glass Half-Full?

I’m definitely a glass half empty. I like to blame my anxiety and my tendency to worry way too much. So, I’m always trying to prepare for the worst, just in case. Thank God, my husband is the complete opposite! He can reign me in a lot of the times. lol

How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging since the beginning of February this year ~ 5 months. So, not that long!

What inspired you to start blogging?

I post all my reviews on Goodreads and I’ve attempted a blog several times but it fizzled out within a couple of weeks. I am not currently working, by choice and decided to get serious about it. It just seemed like so much fun and it really can be!

Which famous person (alive or dead) would you have be your BFF?

GAL GADOT. I am obsessed with Wonder Woman and she seems like such an amazing person! Hands down, Gal!

Imagine you have a personal assistant to do everything you hate or don’t want to deal with. What do you have them do for you?

Wash the dishes, clean the house, cook dinner, drive me around, buy groceries. Pretty much all of adulting. haha.

You’re borrowing your best friends time machine for a day- where would you go?

Hmm.. this is tough! Jokingly, I would go back to when people decided that Shadowhunters on Freeform was a good idea. Smack them around a bit. Just kidding. lol. I would have to pick something more personal. I would go back to when my Grandpa was still alive. Spend more time with him. Give him an extra hug. Go out to dinner with him instead of going to a football game. How selfish can kids be, sheesh?! We were really close, so I would go back there. Just one more day would be so lovely.

What is the best job you’ve had?

Working at the library. I loved it so much until politics started to take over. Working at a library isn’t really all fun a games like people think. It’s a lot of work and there’s a lot of politics.

What is the worst job you’ve had?

Working at Kohl’s. Oh man, the stories. People are hateful and gross. I hated those 3 years of retail. I made some good friends but I wouldn’t do that over for anything!

Which book have you re-read the most?

I’m not much of a re-reader. When I was in High School, I remember reading, Don’t Die, My Love by Lurlene McDaniel over and over. Why? Maybe I just wanted to cry all the time, I don’t know. This book is the saddest!

Which authors are auto-buys/reads?

Cassandra Clare, Fredrik Backman, Sarah J. Maas & Colleen Hoover

If you could read one genre for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Fantasy 100%

My Questions:

  1. Do you read fan fiction?
  2. What book influenced you greatly?
  3. Which book/series do you wish they would make into movie/TV?
  4. Which book/series do you wish they DIDN’T or WILL NEVER make into a movie/Tv?
  5. Do you read while in bed?
  6. In your opinion, the cutest animal?
  7. Do you have a Goodreads account? If so, what is it, I’d love to follow!
  8. Any amazing summer plans?
  9. Do any of your family members read?
  10. Favorite musical artist/band?

Thanks again, to Maddie for tagging me!! I really appreciate it. I am running really behind and to save time, I’m going to leave this open to ANYONE who would love this award! Just tag me when you are done, so I can read your answers :):)

What (or who) inspires you and why?

In life: my husband. He and I were best friends in High School and started dating our Sr. year. It’s been a journey for sure. We are literally growing up and old together. It’s been so inspiring to see the amazing man he has become. He’s an actuary, so his job requires him to take LOTS of exams to hit certain levels in his job. He’s currently in the optional track, which is much harder. It’s equivalent to a PhD. I don’t know how he does. It will study 3 hours at work, come home and study 3-4 hours a night. He does this for 3 months and takes the exam. It’s not only hard on him but me too. It’s like I don’t see him for 3 months at a time. We have been doing this for about a decade. ALMOST FINISHED!! His drive is just so inspiring.

Bookish: ALL authors. It’s just so amazing how they can make all these worlds and characters that we either love or love to hate. Either way, it’s just so inspiring!

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

The amazing people/community! Thank you, to everyone who likes or comments. I love our discussions and it’s amazing getting to know you! I really love you all!

If you could be any character in fiction, whom would it be and why?

In YA: I love the Shadowhunter world and even though it’s dangerous, they have a lot of protection with runes. I’m going to have to go with Clary. She’s strong and will do anything for the people she loves. I feel like I’m kind of like that now, so yup.. she fits. haha. Also, if we go the comic way… WONDER WOMAN!

If you had six months with no obligations or financial constraints, what would you do with the time?

If I had no financial constraints, I would travel EVERYWHERE I could in 6 months! I want to see so much of the world. There’s so many beautiful places and cultures that I would just love to see.

What is one piece of advice that you would give a new blogger?

Have Fun!! Don’t make it a job because then it can be too much. It’s a hobby, so make sure you enjoy it!

Optional: Freebie question- share something with us!

A lot of you know that my husband and I are trying to conceive and in the fertility process now. Just passed the 5 year mark in May. :-/ Guys, this sucks. The last month and a half has been so very hard. I’m taking so many drugs that my body just hates me. I’m not going to lie. Blogging has definitely taken a back seat and so has reading. I read my first book last week, in over 3 weeks. 😦  These drugs really mess with my moods and I’m always tired, sick or just blah. So, I apologize now if my reviews are crazy and don’t make sense. If I disappear for weeks at a time or I’m not super active. I’m trying not to be upset by the fact that I can’t be as active as I was before I started this journey. Here’s hoping that it won’t be for too much longer! I HOPE anyways!

Thanks again to Sara for the nomination!! :):)

For the sake of catching up, I will not be singling out nominations. I’m sorry! If YOU are reading this, I NOMINATE YOU! 🙂
