MY QUESTIONS
How do you decide which book to read next?
Honestly? It differs all the time. It depends on my mood. Did I just read a sad and depressing book? I will definitely pick up something light and fluffy next, even if it’s not on my TBR for the month. Sometimes, I get really behind on ARC’s. I then realize, “oh shoot!” and bump them up. When my deadline is coming close, I get bad anxiety, until it’s read. It’s why I don’t request more than a handful at a time. Then there’s the occasional book that finally arrives at the library for me! Since I’ve been waiting forever, I need to get to that ASAP! Lol. It’s all just very random.
Do your friends/family know that you have a blog?
No. I just told one friend about it and she was so excited. Told me, she was going to check it out. I kind of feel like this is my safe space and I can say and do whatever? I mean, I mostly talk about books and books. A lot of people don’t know about our fertility journey but I’m not afraid to share here. I don’t have that many followers. Maybe one day, when I have a ton of followers and I have a lot more books arriving on my doorstep, will I let them in on my awesome world.
What’s one genre that you have trouble getting into?
When I was younger, before YA, I used to read so many romance books. I’m not kidding. For a while, I was all about Nora Roberts. Then one day, I saw Twilight in the theater, bought the book after and found YA. I now have a REALLY hard time reading just romance books. I’m not sure if it’s because I read so many that they start to feel the same? I can only do a few here and there and I still find myself rolling my eye too much. I don’t know, maybe I need better authors to read from.
What’s the last boo you added to your TBR?
The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman. This was purely because Sabaa Tahir really recommended this whole series at her meet and greet.
Which fictional character (book or otherwise) would you want to meet in real life?
Wonder Woman.
In general, do you like to watch film adaptations of books?
Yes, I then criticize it to pieces, so not sure why. haha. I usually go in expecting the worst but then a lot of them surprise me, in a good way! So, yes, I do.
What’s the last book you finished?
Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris. 3/5 stars.
What’s the last book you re-read?
I have not re-read a book in sooooo long. I don’t typically do. I remember one clearly. I read it over and over. I’m not sure why because it’s tremendously sad. If you have ever read Lurlene McDaniel, you would understand.
Don’t Die, My Love by Lurlene McDaniel
Do you prefer series or standalones?
When I’m reading that book- standalone. I don’t want to wait years for the ending. HAHA! Honestly, I think series. There are sooo many amazing series that I love. I can’t imagine if they were standalones. Sometimes, it is really nice to have a standalone though.
What’s your favorite book by your favorite author?
A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. It’s insanely hard to pick a favorite author. I have to go with this because I’ve been recommending it, since before it came out! I love all of his books but one. It’s an amazing book, go read it!
What’s your favorite kind of blog post to read?
I really enjoy reading all the tags and awards. There can be a lot of posts about the same books and reviews. It’s nice to get to know the blogger behind the posts sometimes. 🙂
I tag: only a few…
My Questions:
- Most anticipated book coming out?
- Your favorite book of the year, so far?
- Last book that made you ugly cry?
- Name two books that you would/do recommend to everyone?
- Show me a picture of your bookshelf!
- Three words to describe what books mean to you.
- Your favorite book friendship?
- Have you discovered a new author that you loved, this year?
- Bookmarks or dog-ears?
- Do you prefer one POV or multiple POV’s?
- Buy books, borrow or both?
Please link back to me in the comments, so I can see your answers!!! I can’t wait to read them 🙂

I love your answers! ❤ Only my boyfriend knows about my blog. I feel the same way, that it's like my safe space to talk about whatever I want and I don't think I'd be so chatty if people from my real life were looking. 🙂 And I've never read anything by Frederik Backman, but you're the second person today who's said he's their favorite author, so I think I need to read something of his!

Thank you! 🙂 Yes, I totally agree. I wouldn’t say as much. I’m super private in real life. Like, I hardly post on Facebook. I just feel that the people I know are just looking for gossip. I’ve had several instances of it throughout life. This way, no one is going to talk to my MIL about what I posted or said. This is my free space with all my lovely blogger friends! You need to!! I recommend A Man Called Ove or Beartown!!! It can be an adjustment to his writing style but it’s so worth it!

I feel the same about Facebook! I hardly ever post anything there. Or anywhere, really, that isn’t here.
And ok! I’ll add those books to my TBR!

The Dark Days club is a great series!! I just got an arc of the 3rd and final book and I’m so pumped to read it!
I feel similarly about my bookstagram… for a while it was connected to my Facebook and people from real life started following me and I was like, NO this is my safe nerdy book space and your not invited 😂

That’s great to hear and awesome that you got an ARC!! I hope you love how it ends. When does it come out? So, I know when to start reading the series.
Yes!!! You’re not invited!! 😂😂 Exactly how I feel!! There’s only a select few that I would be okay with following me.

I now really want to add The Dark Days Club to my TBR! And I totally get what you mean about this being a safe space. I think like three people total know about my blog, my mother being one of them because I told her like three weeks ago lol. I definitely do feel like this place exists separate from the real world. Great post!

Do it!!! I’ve heard good things about it, since I’ve posted about that series. Yes, I completely agree. My husband is the only one who has known, until my one friend. Plus, an escape from the real world is healthy! 🙂

Great answers. I really get what your saying about keeping life and bloggi g separate. It just gives you a bit more freedom. For me, friends yes, family no. I really hope you like The Dark Days Club. I really liked the first two and I’m looking forward to the third book.
