This week’s theme is Top TEN Best Books I’ve Read In 2018 (So Far). I’m glad I checked and saw the update. This saves me from having to find a throwback. haha. 

Top Ten Books I’ve read in 2018:

1. Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

I just read this one and gave it 5/5 stars! Review to come.

8. Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Obsidio (The Illuminae Files, #3)

9. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black 

The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air, #1)

I loved this book and I currently have an e-ARC for, The Wicked King. Ahhh.. I know. I have been sitting on it for 2 months because I don’t want it to be over so soon. I mean, it doesn’t release until January and then I have to wait even longer for the next book. haha. Anyways, you can find my review here: The Cruel Prince

10. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1)

I gave this 4/5 stars. I just read it and really loved it. Review to come. 


That’s my top 10! I had to really pick and choose because there are a lot more books that I have enjoyed this year. It make me excited for what all I will read the rest of the year. Have you read any of these? Any books you want to recommend?!

  1. I’ve read so many great reviews of Emergency Contact. Now I’m so interested to read it. I have yet to read TCP but I’m glad you like it. Great picks!!

    • I know!!! I recommend Eliza to everyone. It’s going to be our book club book for November, so yay! haha. I know, I can’t wait for Wildcard! I’m kinda glad that I just read Warcross, so my wait isn’t as long. lol

  2. I ended up loving Nevernight too, although it took me a while to get into. I didn’t gel at all with the style at first! Godsgrave is wonderful too, although the plotline and setting is way different!

    I wasn’t a huge fan of Warcross though, not really. I mean, it was alright, but I don’t think I’d feel the need to read it again.

    • I am getting that now. I’m about 160 pages in Godsgrave and it’s different but so much action! I am so sad it’s going to be until next September for the third book!
