Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top TEN Best Books I’ve Read In 2018 (So Far). I’m glad I checked and saw the update. This saves me from having to find a throwback. haha.

5. Nice Try, Jane Sinner by Lianne Oelke

6. Warcross by Marie Lu
I gave this 4/5 stars and I cannot wait for the next one!! You can see my review here: Warcross
7. Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia
This was unexpected but I loved this one! 5/5 stars! You can find my review here: Eliza and Her Monsters
8. Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

9. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
I loved this book and I currently have an e-ARC for, The Wicked King. Ahhh.. I know. I have been sitting on it for 2 months because I don’t want it to be over so soon. I mean, it doesn’t release until January and then I have to wait even longer for the next book. haha. Anyways, you can find my review here: The Cruel Prince
10. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
I gave this 4/5 stars. I just read it and really loved it. Review to come.
That’s my top 10! I had to really pick and choose because there are a lot more books that I have enjoyed this year. It make me excited for what all I will read the rest of the year. Have you read any of these? Any books you want to recommend?!
I’ve read so many great reviews of Emergency Contact. Now I’m so interested to read it. I have yet to read TCP but I’m glad you like it. Great picks!!

Same here. I think it’s because I’m being a little more selective with my choices! When I read a lot of not so good books, it’s easy to get in a slump!

I totally understand… February was a bad slump for me and I’ve since been picking up only those which have good reviews from bloggers who share my taste…

That’s the best way to go!! I try not to read books that are all hyped. I do my research and see what those who share my taste think!

True… I try and read some negative reviews for highly hyped books to make sure it’s my kinda book …
LikeLiked by 1 person
Same here! They are usually more truthful! I always make sure it wasn’t because they got the book for free to review.

I know.. can’t imagine being biased just coz the book was free.. I end up not liking arcs so many times, but would rather not review than give a dishonest opinion…

Yeah.. I on the other hand have a harder time getting arcs because I will post a review, even if I don’t like it! I feel like they shouldn’t expect everyone to love their book. I’m never rude, just point out what didn’t work for me.

I get that.. I post on Netgalley but don’t bother putting up a negative review on my blog… it’s probably why I never get the arcs that I actually want 😜😜😜

Yup, probably the same reason for me! Honest people don’t always win! 😆😂

Well… as long as we remain true to ourself, that’s what matters.. can’t help it if others can’t see it 😊😊😊

I love Eliza so much. and that’s saying a lot because I’m not really into YA contemporary. 🙂 Great list you have L… Hope you read much much more beautiful books thru the rest of the year.

I ended up loving Nevernight too, although it took me a while to get into. I didn’t gel at all with the style at first! Godsgrave is wonderful too, although the plotline and setting is way different!
I wasn’t a huge fan of Warcross though, not really. I mean, it was alright, but I don’t think I’d feel the need to read it again.
Great list 🙂

I am getting that now. I’m about 160 pages in Godsgrave and it’s different but so much action! I am so sad it’s going to be until next September for the third book!
