I’m doing something a little different. I just have to!

Okay, I don’t know when the last time was I wrote a movie review. First, I want to thank GoFoBo and Regal Cinemas for an advanced screening of: Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

I have been looking forward to this movie, since it was announced. I really liked the first movie and I love Meryl Streep. Seriously, I’ll watch anything she’s in. She’s THE best. One of my all time favorite actresses! Now, onto the movie..

I was SO excited when I received an email to sign up for advanced screening tickets. It’s usually not movies that I really care to see, except this time. Thankfully, I hadn’t purchased my tickets for this weekend yet. Although, I’m still trying to convince my husband to go again! We arrived at the movie theater 45 minutes early and they only had first row seats left. I didn’t care, I was seeing this!!

Guys, I loved this movie sooo much!! It has now beat out Deadpool 2 for my favorite movie of the year. That’s big praise because I loved Deadpool so much. My husband was amazing and went with me. He asked me before the movie how I excited I was. I definitely said a 9. After, he goes, “yeah, I could tell you were a 9 but then a little ways into the movie, I could tell that it was way over 10.” haha! We tend to hold hands and I squeeze his hand for all kinds of signals during movies. I think I was doing a lot of excited squeezing!

They did an amazing job with this one. The two stories that were being told were just so perfect and done so well. We are flashing back and forth from the present to past. We learn about how Donna meets her lovers and where it all started. Sophie is trying to re-open the hotel in the present. I seriously had tears running down my face several times. I laughed a lot and just really enjoyed myself. I was in the first row, watching at an awkward angle and I didn’t even realize it until the movie was over. I was just so engrossed.

They cast this movie perfectly. I don’t know about you but I’m a huge Lily James fan. She was in Downton Abbey and then in Cinderella. She has a great singing voice and she’s a lovely actress. She did an amazing job being cast as younger Donna. She just blew me away! I also think that they did a fantastic job casting all the younger crew- Donna’s friends (Rosie & Tanya) and lovers (Bill, Harry & Sam). They were all just what I would expect them to be at that age!

Amanda Seyfried… I really enjoyed her in the first movie but she was on another level in this movie. Her singing voice is beautiful and I loved her story so much. I also am a huge Sky fan and was really excited to see him back in this movie. My husband is a big fan of his tv series, Preacher.

The music was fantastic, of course! I think everyone had amazing singing voices, except for Pierce Brosnan. It’s just so awkward when he sings. His younger self, not a problem in that department though! haha. Of course, I’ve always loved Colin Firth and he is so much fun in these movies.

I was just so moved by the stories that were being told. My husband liked it too. He was surprised but really glad that it was good, for my sake. He’s so sweet. I’m so sorry that this review is just so gushy and all over the place. I like never write movie reviews but I want people to see this one! It’s just a great story and makes you feel so light and happy. Now, this could all just be that I’m on day 3/5 of my fertility meds. My hormones are just all over the place. I don’t care, I loved it! 🙂

Go see it this weekend!! If you haven’t seen the first one, you must before seeing this one.

I will definitely be purchasing this one and watching it all the time. I can’t wait!

Side note: This really, REALLY makes me want to travel to Greece. It was just so stunningly beautiful!
