TTT: Books on my TBR the longest!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top TEN Books that have been on my TBR the longest.

I know that this is not the mashup topic. My brain is just too fried to even start thinking about that. I can’t wait to read about everyone else’s though! So, I went with another topic because I am cleaning my TBR anyways. Basically, I just went to my Goodreads and looked through the first 10 books added to my TBR! I’m deciding whether I want to read them or take them off the list. Oh gosh, 2012! Yikes, these have been on there so long.

1. Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent

I’ve read books 1&2. I have the rest of the series on my list, starting with My Soul to Keep. Ahh.. I have these books and I feel like I should read them. I think I’ll keep them on my TBR for now. Have you read these?

My Soul to Keep (Soul Screamers, #3)

2. Nightshade series by Andrea Cremer

I have all these books and the spinoff and I still haven’t read them. I want to and will be keeping them on my TBR. Maybe I will bump this up on the TBR for September!

Nightshade (Nightshade #1; Nightshade World #4)

3. The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich

I’ve read books 1-4, I believe. These are light funny reads and I think they are good for when I’m getting into a slump. I will be keeping them on my TBR.

High Five (Stephanie Plum, #5)

4. Bloody Valentine by Melissa de la Cruz

I will be taking this off the TBR list! It’s a novella, which I own. It’s been on my list since 2012… I don’t even know what the original series was about.

Bloody Valentine (Blue Bloods, #5.5)

5. Chronicles of Nick series by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I have most of these books and I will be keeping them on the TBR list. I just haven’t had a chance to get to them!

Infinity (Chronicles of Nick, #1)

6. Halo series by Alexandra Adornetto

I will be taking this off my TBR. I have the first two books but there has been a lot of mixed reviews. I’m not sure that I will find the time to read these. Time to donate.

Halo (Halo, #1)

7. Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

I’m taking this one-off the TBR list. I was so intruiged by this because it’s supposed to be about Greek Mythology, which I love. I’m not sure that it’s actually there when reading some reviews.

Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1)

8. Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan

I will not be getting rid of these because they are my husbands and he loves this series. I will be attempting to read this sometime in the near future, I hope!

The Eye of the World (Wheel of Time, #1)

9. Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko, Andrew Bromfield (translator)

Another series that I will not be getting rid of because my husband owns these. He keeps telling me to read them and I hope to!

Night Watch (Watch #1)

10. The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett

I will be keeping this! I actually read them out of order and read the second book a couple of years ago. I loved it so much and really want to read the rest of them! They are huge books at almost 1,000 pages. I think I’m going to set a goal next year to do one meaty book (500+) a month!!

The Pillars of the Earth (Kingsbridge, #1)

Wow, these books were added to my list when I started my Goodreads account in 2012!! That’s crazy and I maybe should start doing my TBR from the bottom of my list instead of the top. LOL! It’s so hard though. I own them and know that they will always be there! I did get rid of 5 books but potentially 9! Haha. I feel like that’s not much but oh well. I will be donating these books to my local library!

Happy reading~

  1. I have very nice memories of reading the Nightshade series, quite a few years back now. I remember eating cashews and Christmas pears when I read them. I think I was kind of meh on the first book but they got progressively better and i still vividly remember the characters. Hope you like it!

    • That’s good to know. I love how you remember what you were eating. 🙂 Thank you! I have had these on my shelves for so long. So, I’m hoping that I will enjoy them!

    • LOL! Same. I keep buying them too. So crazy! I just can’t help it. I’ve been trying to read a book I own after reading a book I don’t. This way, I can lie to myself and think I’m getting through my TBR shelves. haha

  2. Love this post!! LOL I can’t think of a single mash up either!! The longest book on my TBR is probably The Bone Season! I’ve had it for almost 3 years? 😂
