This is probably a 4.5 read but my love for him bumped it up to 5 stars. No shame.
I will put it out there now.. I’m a bit biased because I have loved JT since he went solo. When I was in grade school, it was Backstreet Boys vs. NSYNC. I was totally a Backstreet Boys fan. Then Justin went solo and I fell in love. My husband is totally okay with this love. haha. There’s just something about JT and his voice that melts my soul. Not only that, he’s hilarious. I love him in movies and when he’s on SNL. Gosh, some of my favorite skits of all time, are his on SNL.
My number one bucket list item is seeing him live. Yup, I still have not been fortunate enough. He likes to take a lot of time between albums and so that means my shots at seeing him in concert are not as frequent. I remember the first time, he was playing at the stadium at my college. I was a poor college student and could not afford the price of his ticket. I remember being in my dorm room and seeing the stadium and being so sad. Chris came over and tried to console my broken heart. What a sweet guy.
He was going to Columbus this year, which is an hour and a half from me. The only problem is … it was on a Monday night. My husband couldn’t go with me because of work and by the time I was able to buy tickets, they were over $200! I couldn’t even buy the nose bleed seats, because they were all gone, by the time the sale went public. I was devastated. I hope that one day, my dream will come true!
Wow… I’m really off topic… When I saw that he was coming out with a book, I was so excited. I was also nervous because you never know how these things will go.
I read it in one sitting. It’s a decently short book because there are a lot of really cool photos. I felt like I did get a lot of insight to his writing process and get to know him more. You could really feel his love and passion for music and his family. If you like his music or him at all, you will enjoy this. You get some cool facts about his childhood and how things came about. I loved reading more about him and his life.
