Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top TEN New-to-Me Authors I Read in 2018!

1.  Laini Taylor.

I read Strange the Dreamer and Muse of Nightmares. I loved both and can’t wait to read more from her!

2. Leigh Bardugo

I read Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom!! I had not read anything by her, so I’m excited I started with those two. Great books. I also read Wonder Woman and loved it!

3. Mackenzi Lee

I read both Gentleman’s Guide and Lady’s Guide. I enjoyed both of those books and look forward to what’s next.

4. V.E. Schwab

I read so many of her books this year! The Darker Shade of Magic series and Vicious! Okay, so 4 books. I loved them all so much though! Now, I’m a huge fan.

5. Becky Albertalli

I read Simon and What If It’s Us, her book with Silvera. They are both new authors to me but I’m liking what I’m reading, so far.

6. Marie Lu

Yes, I know.. I have several of her books but I have not touched them. I need to! I read Warcross and LOVED it. I still need to read Wildcard but I haven’t heard the best things. I’m worried.

7. Francesca Zappia

I loved Eliza and Her Monsters so much. I have since bought all of Zappia’s other books from bookoutlet! I need to have a binge marathon and get to the rest.

8. Kristen Ciccarelli

I have read her only two books: Last Namsara and Caged Queen. I liked them both!

9. Ashley Poston

I read Geekerella and loved it so much. I can’t wait for her next book! I’m hoping that Netgalley will approve my request. I doubt it though because they seem to hate me. Anyways, I haven’t read anything else by her but I need to!

10. Jay Kristoff

I have read the Illuminae books but I’m not counting those, since he was a co-author. His books are vastly different. I loved the Nevernight series so much! I also read his new series too. I’m a fan.

There’s many more authors that I read their debut novel. I made this mostly about those that have been out for a while and I hadn’t read them until this last year! What about you?? Any of them on this list?

  1. Great post!

I never heard of Six of Crows before this year, but sounds like an interesting series. Hoping to read the books before the Netflix adaptation comes out.

Love, Simon is actually the next book I’m hoping to read. I’ve heard such great things about it.
