Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top TEN Signs You’re a Book Lover!
Hmm.. I think I’m going to have to think hard on this one.. just kidding!!
- I always have a book laying around. Always.
- I have 4 bookshelves that are overflowing and two book carts.
- I worked at a Library for 5 years because of my love for books
- I don’t have a library card, I have my number memorized. I don’t even know where the physical card is!
- I’m always talking about book recommendations
- I have several people ask me if I’ve read anything good lately, even my library friends!
- I have a lot of bookish items- pins, socks, and pillows.
- Oliver’s library was busting full before he was even conceived! I didn’t do a “bring a book instead of a card” at his shower because he already had a great library.
- I always have books on my birthday & Christmas lists
- I’ve always got a make quick stop at the bookstore. My sister even used my husbands half price coupon to get a book for me one day. haha. She does not read at all but it was nice of her to offer! 🙂
These are all pretty dumb and obvious, I guess. lol! I can’t wait to read everyone else’s. 🙂 Funnily enough, no one knows about my blog except for my husband and library friends.

It’s hard not to have them!

Great list! I recognize many of these items. I used to have shelves in all my rooms and my hallway, but when I moved, most didn’t come with me to my smaller space. I have started over, though, and hope to burst my space with the books I’m buying.
Enjoy your week.

I’m sure you can definitely grow your library again!! Do you use bookoutlet? I found that website about 2 years ago and it’s been a huge help at building my library. So many great books and such a good price!

My bookshelves are overflowing as well! I really want another shelf, but I don’t have space in my room.

I have the same issue! I’ve got a couple book carts now and that’s helped with the piles of books. We are planning to move next year and I just feel like I need to wait on my space before buying another shelf!

I wish I had space for a book cart, but my room is really tiny! I can’t wait to have a slightly bigger space so I can actually put all my books on shelf. Currently a lot of them are residing in a cardboard box under my shelf!

What sort of work did you do at the library? e.g. did you answer visitor questions at the help desk? reshelve books? decide which new books to order? repair antique books? What a neat job.

Most of the above! I had to work the desk, every other hour of my shift- ex: answering questions, research with patrons, holds, requests and all kinds of things. I had to fill holds, repair books, I processed new materials, made displays for the library and so on. I didn’t get to decide which books to order but I did have some influence on what to order.

Haha! I don’t even know when I memorised my library number. I use it so often to log in to their site to renew books and check on holds

LOL! Yeah, I have my husbands memorized too. I hope I don’t forget it over the next month while it’s closed.

I always have books on my wishlist, too. I keep an Amazon book wishlist I just add to all throughout the year, however, I think I’m the only one who looks at it. lol Great list!

Man can I relate to this. I don’t have a library card, either, but mostly because my library doesn’t use cards. I don’t know my number, though. xD It’s in the 12,000’s, I think. Books are definitely on all my wishlists, too, but I don’t think I’ve ever made a “quick” trip to a bookstore in my life. Mostly because we go there only a couple times a year, so I make it last. 😛 Great list!

I’m laughing at the fact that you lost your library card, but you don’t need it because you have your number memorized. That’s hilarious! I have mine memorized, but I also have my card just in case my memory fails me.
Happy TTT!

haha. I don’t mind. I used to work there and they all know me by name. So, if I have a brain fart one day, they can just look me up! 🙂

These are so relatable! My friends once even asked me if I want anything else because I always include books in my birthday wishlist.
