W.W.W 5/13/20

This is a weekly meme hosted by, Taking on a World of Words. It’s where we talk about the Three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you will read next?

What I’m currently reading?

This month I’ve joined two Middle Grade readathons! I’m doing Middle Grade MAYhem through a Facebook group & Believathon from How to Train Your Gavin- if you are not following him on booktube, you are missing out! You can also follow on instagam and twitter. I’m taking it upon myself to read as many MG books that I own!

The Wonder Weeks: From Fussy Phases to Magical Leaps, A Stress-Free Guide to Your Baby?s Predictable Behavior

I think I’ll be really sad when this isn’t on my list anymore.

The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, #1)

I’m doing a buddy read with Sahi @ My World of Books . We made it through part 1 and working on part 2 this week. This is such a dark and hopeless read so far!

The Enchantress Returns (The Land of Stories, #2)

I’m really enjoying this! I’m about 40% of the way through right now.

A World Without Princes (The School for Good and Evil, #2)

I’ve haven’t picked up this series in so long. I finally did as part of a readathon. I actually made it about half way and have to put it aside for Believathon that starts today.

What did I recently finish?

The Sleepwalker Tonic (Nightmares!, #2)

I really think kids would enjoy this series. It’s got some lessons and it’s not scary! Even though, it’s about nightmares, it’s really not too scary.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
Whichwood (Furthermore, #2)

I finished this one quicker than the first. I did like the new characters that were introduced and this one had more of a plot. It was still just an okay read.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

The Lost Lullaby (Nightmares!, #3)

This was a really cute series and I think the ending was a good one too!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Sisters

This is a cute graphic novel. I’ll try to get my hands on the others by her!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The Betrothed (The Betrothed, #1)

My first DNF this year. I made it 40% of the way through and I just couldn’t read anymore. It’s bad. I have a rant review coming soon.

The Magician's Nephew (Chronicles of Narnia, #1)

I actually have a huge novel with all the books in one. I’ve had it on my shelves for YEARS. It was my first book for Believathon!

Rating: 3 out of 5.

What will I read next?

Beach Read

I just subscribed to Book of the Month and I chose this as an add-on. I really need something light and adult to break up all this middle grade! haha.

13 Treasures (Thirteen Treasures, #1)

Next up for Believathon!!

I’ve been doing really well with a lot of middle grade this month. I’m almost done with my monthly readathon and just starting Believathon. I’m hoping to get most of my middle grade finished the rest of the time!

  1. The Wonder Weeks phone app is helpful too! (Though I was the opposite and SO happy to delete it from my phone/library)

Beach Read looks like such a fun read. I hope you enjoy it! ❤️

  2. Wow, you are slaying these readathon reads! I’m really curious about The Land of Stories because I saw one of the covers on NG the other day and thought it was adorable! Glad to hear you’re enjoying it 😀 I really can’t wait to get my hands on Beach Read! Hope you continue enjoying your reads, Leslie ❤

    • Thank you, Dini! I just finished the second Land of Stories book and it’s such a cute read! I rather enjoyed it. They are decently long for Middle grade though! Beach Read was fantastic!! I finished it over a 24 hour period. I hope you can get your hands on it soon! ❤

  3. I’m excited to read Beach Read too! I’ve been warned by others it’s not a light read at all though, so make sure to pick a different title if you are looking for a light and fun read… Happy reading! xx

  4. I’m currently reading Beach Read. I’m about halfway through and I’m so confused about all the negative comments. I’m LOVING it. No, it’s not a super light read, but I’ve been smiling and laughing. I would say it’s a beach read with some depth. But I like that in my books. I hope you enjoy it! Good luck with your readathons!

    • I loved Beach Read!! So many people in my BOTM group loved it last month so I added it to my package for this month. I just signed up. But I really enjoyed it. Yeah, it has some intense topics but I laughed a lot and really enjoyed it!
