May Wrap Up!

This month was a bit tough for me. It was Oliver’s first birthday and we couldn’t really celebrate. We did do a zoom smash cake party but it just wasn’t the same. My birthday was three days later and it was a rough one this year. My whole family always comes and spends the weekend, I was missing that. I haven’t seen my family since the beginning of March. I did read a lot because I just had to get away from the real world at times.

I read 31 books that totaled 9,868 pages. I am so pumped because I read my OwlCrate book for the month, all my Middle Grade TBR’s AND My two Book of the Month picks!!! The only thing is that I didn’t finish my buddy read, The Way of Kings. We both had a lot of life events this month and I finally decided to just go ahead and try to finish it the last week of May. My little one had a lot of fussy nights, so I didn’t get to finish it but I only have 300 pages left. It’s so good!

I have filled in letters E & X on my AtoZ challenge. I only have J, K, O, & Z left.

I’ve also read 30 books for my #startonyourshelfathon !!!

I participated in two Middle Grade readathons: Middle Grade MAYhem and Believathon! They were amazing and I got a good chunk of my MG shelf read. I also ended up purchasing a lot more. haha. I loved Believathon so much, Gavin made it a lot of fun!

  1. Wow, what an incredible month of reading! I don’t think I have ever or will ever reach the 30 books a month mark 😂 That’s pretty fantastic! So many of the books you’ve read are also on my TBR and I can’t wait to get to them (hopefully at a point in the near future) lol I hope June continues to be an amazing month of reading for you, Leslie!

  2. Wow, what a great reading month!! I’m sorry your birthdays were without family. That’s especially hard for a first birthday. ❤ I loved Beach Read, as well, and I'm looking forward to several of the others on your list!
