W.W.W 7/22/20

This is a weekly meme hosted by, Taking on a World of Words. It’s where we talk about the Three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you will read next?

What I’m currently reading?

My husband just took his exam a few days ago… now.. I’ll have more free time to read, I hope! I’ve got my Mermaid room in Animal Crossing coming along nicely. Anyone want me to visit their island??

Something new for me is I can do non-fiction audiobooks! It’s amazing because I could never do audiobooks. I definitely can’t do fiction, I tried again but I’m doing okay with memoirs!

The Wonder Weeks: From Fussy Phases to Magical Leaps, A Stress-Free Guide to Your Baby?s Predictable Behavior

I’ve got one more leap left. It’s amazing how accurate this book was.

Mistborn: The Final Empire (Mistborn, #1)

Okay, the plan is to finish this next week. I HOPE!

Soul of the Sword (Shadow of the Fox, #2)

I have about 130 pages left and I’m hoping to finish this one today!

Love & Gelato (Love & Gelato, #1)

I just started this one last night upstairs. I’m hoping to re-fresh before picking Mistborn pack up.

You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost)

I’m currently listening to this audiobook.

What did I recently finish?

The Sandman, Vol. 1: Preludes & Nocturnes (The Sandman #1)

I had a hard time getting into this at first. About 60 pages in it really got going and I ended up really enjoying this! My husband just read it and liked it. We will now be reading the rest together!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The Kingdom of Copper (The Daevabad Trilogy, #2)

I just finished this last night. It was sooo good!!!

Review to come.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up

I bumped this one up to the top because of her passing. R.I.P! I really enjoyed it and listened to the audiobook. I highly recommend memoirs that are read by the author this way.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Let's Just Say It Wasn't Pretty

I listened to this as an audiobook and I did not care for this one. She was pretty much obsessed about her looks but trying to say she wasn’t obsessed about it. Review to come.

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown (The Brown Sisters, #1)

I have seen this all over the place. I read it right before my library hold expired. I thought this one was just okay for me. Loved the chronic illness rep but I felt like they were just horny teenagers the whole book. Review to come.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

What will I read next?

Bookish and the Beast (Once Upon a Con, #3)

Ahhh, this didn’t fit into reading rush this week. So, next week for sure because it comes out soon!!

Lobizona (Wolves of No World, #1)

I didn’t get this one on my Reading Rush TBR either and NEED to get to it next week!

How was your week everyone? Read a new favorite or DNF a book?? Lets chat!

Stay safe and healthy! Happy Reading!

  1. I’m kind of glad you’re not part of the hype surrounding Get a Life, Chloe Brown. I’m still planning to read it, but at least if I don’t love it, I won’t be alone 🙂

    Happy reading!
    Here’s my WWW Wednesday post.

    • Yesss, I felt like I was missing something. It was a fine read- more like okay. I didn’t hate it and really enjoyed some aspects. I just felt like it was just a bunch of inner-dialogue about how hot each person was and how they wanted to jump each others bones. It got a bit annoying. I hope that you like it better than I did though!! 🙂

  2. OOOH non-fiction audiobooks! WHY DID I NEVER TRY THAT?? that’s ingenious Leslie. I am definitely going to get one from the library and see if I can listen to one and not fall asleep like I do with fiction audiobooks ☺️☺️❤️❤️✨

    • YESSS!!! Seriously, it’s amazing!! I’ve gone through 4 audiobooks in the last two weeks now!! It’s so easy to just listen a bit when I’m doing dishes, nursing, getting ready for bed or whatever. Also, I highly recommend books read by the author. It makes it a lot easier to pay attention because you just feel like they are talking to you. ❤
