This graphic novel was so beautiful. It was heart breaking, emotional, inspirational and moving. This is a story that will stick with me for such a long time. It’s gut wrenching how refugees are treated. This story is about a daughter who is looking into her parents past to understand them. We get a lot of research and history from the past and how their parents ended up where they did. She’s giving birth to her own child and it makes her want to learn why her relationship is strained with her parents. They have demons in their past that has influenced the way they act around their children. It’s so hard to find the right words but you need to read this. The artistry is so beautifully done too. Guys, you need to read this one!!

This one took me a while to get into. I think I was about 70 pages in before I really got hooked. I loved this! There’s a bit of info dumping at the beginning that had me re-reading a lot. There’s so many characters and so much going on that it was confusing. I’m so glad that I didn’t give up though. The story was great once it got going. I bought volume 2 & 3! I’m hoping to like them a lot better!
Have you read any of these? Any graphic novels that you love and want to recommend?!

I’m intrigued by The Best We Could Do, sounds very emotional,I’m glad you liked the graphic too. Adding this to my TBR!!
