August Wrap Up!

I cannot believe that we are headed into fall soon. Where did summer go?? It’s extremely hot this week and so many people are putting pumpkins out and acting like fall is here… not yet folks! Anyways, I am pretty proud with my month. I participated in two readathons and read a decent amount of books. On top of all this, my son has had the sleeping schedule from hell. It’s been rough. We are making it through though. Good thing he’s cute! haha 😀 I know a lot of people are going back to school and it’s a weird time. Good luck to you all- students and staff. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy too!

I read 20 books that totaled 7,438 pages. I read some chunky books this month!!

I have filled in the letter O on my AtoZ challenge. I only have Z left. I have the book and like 4 months to read it!

I’ve also read 10 books for my #startonyourshelfathon and I now have a total of 96 of my own books! If only I could stop buying books!!

I read 14 books for Trope-ical Readathon! I unfortunately didn’t get to the Sci-Fi/Fantasy team books because both of those are on super long hold lists at the library. I hope to read them when they become available though because I already had Cinderella is Dead on hold!

I know there might be some controversy but I did finish my N.E.W.T.S! It was my first year participating and I didn’t want to be unfinished. I only had to read 4 books though:

  1. Ancient Runes O: Red, White & Royal Blue
  2. Defense Against the Dark Arts E: Days of Blood & Starlight
  3. History of Magic E: Midnight Sun
  4. Mermaid Linguistics- Herbology E: Anxious Poeple

How did your month go? Did it go as planned or did you struggle? Did we read any of the same books?!

I hope that everyone is doing well and staying sane!! ❤

  1. Looks like you had a great reading month with lots of 4+ star reads 😍 I have quite a few of these on my TBR as well but I finished Fable this past weekend and I really enjoyed it. Ugh, the cover gives me so much life 😂 Can’t wait for book two after that ending! Hope you continue to have a great month in September!

    • Thank you!! LOL. Well… I am typically a fast reader anyways but I always have a daytime book that I read during my son’s naptime. I then have a night time book that I read when he goes to bed. He used to go to bed around 8 and I would stay up from then to 11 to read. He hasn’t been doing that so much lately. I started doing memoir audiobooks in between.. so when I’m doing dishes or going for walks. That’s about it!
