What I liked about this was the fact that there’s so much going on in between the curse and Belle. We learn how he is cursed/warned and what he does after. He is a pretty terrible person and it took him so long to learn his lesson. I did like some of the ways that Valentino took this story. I do think it’s one of the weaker of the series but also one of the shortest. Overall, I’m really enjoying these so far.

This one has been my biggest disappointment so far. I say this because I had the highest hopes. Ariel is by far my favorite Disney story. There are a lot of things in this book that set up for other things in the following books. We get a lot less of the witches story and it’s more about everyone else. I think out of all the ones I’ve read, I felt her story the least. There’s a lot of interesting things set up but I wanted more of Ursula!

This book was excellent and heart breaking! Out of all the villains, Maleficent is one that I feel for the most. She’s been treated awful since she was so young and I don’t blame her. Since she looked different she was pretty much cast out. It’s just so sad and really a self-fulfilling prophecy for the fairies. You reap what you sow…. just saying *cough*fairy Godmother*cough*

I didn’t know what to expect from this book because I’m not the biggest fan of the Odd Sisters. I ended up really liking this book and the path it took. It did get pretty dark though, which I was surprised by. Overall, I’m really enjoying this series! I have now caught up with all the books I own. The newest one I don’t have yet, so I consider this a series completed on my physical TBR!

Ooh thanks for doing these reviews! I’ve been meaning to get into this series of alternative fairy tales for a while. I love the cover of ‘The Odd Sisters’. I’ve only got ‘Reflection’ but haven’t gotten around to reading it yet! Hopefully soon…

It’s really cool to see all the reviews side by side like this. I’ve been seeing this series around a lot recently and I’ve been wondering if I should get into it…

Thank you!! It’s a new thing I’m working on. I’m trying to finish series and instead of doing just one review at at time… I want to do them all when I’m finished with the series!
