Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is the Top Ten Book Titles that Would Make Great Song Titles (submitted by Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse) —Awesome, Deanna!

Sigh… it’s almost 10pm Eastern here and I’m just now doing this. It took me so long to catch up on those who commented and jumping to their post and comment back, from last week! Last Tuesday, was our election day in the United States. It has been a stressful and long week. It wasn’t announced until Saturday afternoon! Not to mention, it’s an election of such a divided country right now. I want to take a moment to congratulate, Kamala Harris, on being the FIRST WOMAN VICE PRESIDENT!!! Even though, our country is divided, this is a HUGE moment for every woman out there. Our children are watching and girls everywhere know they can do anything.

  • The Best We Could Do
  • Where the Sidewalk Ends
  • A Pinch of Magic
  • Where the Mountain Meets the Moon
  • In an Absent Dream
  • Beneath the Sugar Sky
  • Poor Unfortunate Soul
  • Dreams of Gods and Monsters
  • The Vanishing Half
  • Grave Mercy

I hope everyone is doing well, especially those in lockdown again! ❤

    • Yes!! It was such a stressful week and it looks like it’s going to get really ugly before it gets better. I have hope that it will be better soon!! So excited for Kamala!!

Right?! I think all the book titles in that series sound like awesome song titles but I had to hold myself back, haha

  1. So chuffed for America as well! I think the whole world breathed a collective sigh of relief when it was called 😂 Great list of book-song titles too! Some of these remind me of lyrics of existing songs and I immediately started singing them (and will go listen to them now LOL)!

    • Yes, same!! I think a lot of people feel that way and we all felt 10lbs. lighter on Saturday. Definitely, the most intense and crazy election that I’ve been a part of! Ohh, that’s an awesome thing to put together. I’d watch that movie!

  2. Congratulations to Kamala! I’m so happy for her and for the U.S.

I could have sworn Poor Unfortunate Soul was already a song? But I can’t remember where I might have heard it from.

    My post.

  3. WHERE THE SIDEWALK ENDS is such a great title with SO many possibilities for books and songs …

I’m happy about the election results, but I hate that the country is so divided. Even among my family, friends, and community, I feel like we all have such differing opinions on who should be president. That has never happened before to me! I do feel hopeful now that things will get better in our country and how cool is that that we have the first woman vice president? So very cool!

    Happy TTT!

    • Right?!?! I thought that was a great one!

Ahh, yes… It’s definitely different. I feel like people suddenly turned crazy with their political views. People can have a different opinion but I feel like it’s wrong to do so these days. I am hopeful that we can just put out the fires and learn to come together. Right now.. there are so many things going on besides who is Republican and who is a Democrat! We need to come together!! <3<3
