Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is the Top Ten Favorite Books of 2020.

Happy New Year, everyone!! 2020 has been tough for pretty much all of us. I know that things will not drastically change for the better in a few days but we are hopeful for better things next year! I hope we all have amazing book experiences and I can’t wait to spend another year in the blogging world! 🙂 ❤

I actually have a post coming out in a couple days of my top books of the year per several categories because it was hard to just pick 5 or 10. This is really going to force me into choosing! haha. I’ve read over 200 books this year and so many amazing ones! This is so very hard but here goes. I need to give it a shot for the last Top Ten Tuesday of 2020. These are in no particular order.

The House in the Cerulean Sea
The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, #1)
House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City, #1)
Anxious People
The Sword of Kaigen
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
Fable (Fable, #1)
Tilly and the Bookwanderers (Pages & Co. #1)
Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow (Nevermoor, #3)

Ahhh, this took way longer than it should have. I think I’m satisfied with this list. So many wonderful books even if they didn’t make it here today. If you want to see more of my favorites… give it a couple days. 😉

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy ❤

  1. Sword of Kaigen! I think I saw this on one of the IndieSFF contest winners list? I read a review just positively raving about this book. I’d forgotten all about it, so thanks for spotlighting this. Fable and Crescent City are, of course, awesome. 🙂 Happy TTT and Happy 2021 in advance!

    • Yay!! I really hope you enjoy it. I have the second book on for a couple reading challenges next year. I can’t wait. Ahh, I can see that. Anxious People was different, per his usual style. Happy New Year!

  2. Great list! The Sword of Kaigen made my list this week, too, and I’m currently reading and loving Hollowpox. I need to cross The House in the Cerulean Sea off my TBR and I’ve heard so many good things about House of Earth and Blood that I need to give it a try.

    • Thank you! Ohh, I hope you are enjoying Hollowpox! Yes… you need to get to both of those!! House of Earth and Blood is a dense read at the first 150 pages but then amazing after. Cerulean Sea is a great one when you need a lift me up! 🙂

    • The cover is amazing for Cerulean and the inside is just as beautiful!! Becoming was sooo good. I prefer it to Obama’s book because his is just so policy heavy. Although, still enjoyed it.

      Happy New year!

  3. Ah, fab list, Leslie! I had The House in the Cerulean Sea on my list too 😉 Plus the first two books of the Nevermoor series as I haven’t read Hollowpox yet–though I don’t doubt that I’ll love it as well! LOL I really enjoyed Fable as well and actually just picked up Crescent City earlier today.

    • Thank you!! 🙂 We have so many books in common!! We really need to do a buddy read sometime next year!! Ohh, I can’t wait to see what you think of Crescent City! The first 150ish pages are so dense with info but it gets sooo much better!!

  4. Wow 200 books is amazing! I barely reached my Goodreads goal of 110 (although I think I’ll finish two more before the end of the year… maybe 3). The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue made my list this year (at least for 2020 releases, the overall list isn’t done yet).

    • Thank you! 110 is an amazing goal even if you only got close. Believe it or not, my goal for the year was TEN!! I had a baby last year and never got any reading done and didn’t have high hopes this year. With the pandemic… all I did was read to get away during his naps and when he went to bed. lol. Addie is such a great book!! I just read it a couple days ago and going out of 2020 on a book high! 🙂

  5. Great list! I’ve only read (and loved) Fable, but I’m excited to read Anxious People and The House in the Cerulean Sea. I’ve only heard great things about both. Happy Reading in 2021! ❤
