Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is the Top Ten Books I Meant to Read In 2020 but Didn’t Get To!
Ohh, there’s soooo many. I guess, I’ll just post books that I’m going to attempt to read this year.. Some of them.. I’m thinking of just letting go and I wont post those here.

Okay, this came out towards the end of the year. I’m not punishing myself too much. I’m currently trying to read KU books, since I have a free sub for two months. I hope to pick this up as soon as that’s over!

I picked this up and put it on my nightstand so many times. I really need to just crack it open!

This has been on my TBR SO MANY TIMES!! I have to get to it this year.

I loved the first book so much and I don’t know why I haven’t continued. It’s time.

This has been sitting on my “up next” for sooo long. I used it as a challenge book so I have no excuses this year!

I was so pumped for this one and I have no idea what happened. I have it and I just need to make time for it.

I know, I know. I’m so bad. This is going to happen!

I made this a challenge book because I NEED to get to it this year.

I bought them all and my husband is further along than I am. LOL

Maybe I should make this my March TBR bc I want to read all of these so bad. Ugh. I need more time in the day!
I’m so sure that you are tired of seeing all these books over and over and over on my TBR’s or what not. I am hoping to conquer these this year!! Have you read any of these? Any that I should skip or any that I need to read NOW?!
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy ❤

Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn has been on my tbr for ages, and I tried it twice, and still failed. Also I can only recommend the audiobook for Where the Crawdads Sing – afterwards I understood why everyone loved the book. I had The Song of Achilles on my tbr for the longest time, I haven’t given up yet, but it’s not yet compelling me to read it. And read Clap When You Land 😀

It was on mine too and it took me a few months to actually get past like 16% but once I did, I really enjoyed it!! Oh gosh, I will try it but I’m so bad with audiobooks and fiction. I miss so much of the story with my wandering mind. I saw so many people reading The Song of Achilles and loving it last year that it is time. I don’t know when I’ll get to it but this year it’s on my PopSugar challenge! Haha, I will!! I just purchased the ebook for it last week! 🙂

Great list! The Song of Achilles is fantastic and Lair of Dreams is my favourite book in The Diviners series so far (I still haven’t had the courage to pick the last book up). I still need to get to The City We Became, too!

Thank you! Ohh, I’m so glad to hear that! I have heard mixed reviews on the last Diviners book. I’m also confused on why I haven’t seen anything about a paperback edition being released? I have all the other books on paperback and don’t want just the last one in hardback! lol!

These look great. I want to read Miller’s stuff and maybe Marie Lu as well- I’ve been thinking of maybe trying her books 🙂

Ohh, you should! I hear so many great things about Lu. I’ve only read one by her previously, so I can’t say.. but I did really enjoy it! haha

I’ve read The Song of Achilles and Legend! I’d definitely recommend TSoA and Legend as a series rather than just the one book. I think they got better as they went on. Hope you can read them this year!

I am actually planning on reading them through the whole series. It’s what I’m trying to do this year.. not sure it will happen but I’m trying! I’m glad to hear that they get better throughout the series!

Great list, Leslie! You have some fantastic book son your TBR. I ADORED The Song of Achilles!! Such a beautiful story!!! And Legend is really good too – definitely a great series to binge. 🙂 I enjoyed Fortuna Sworn too – the second book is much darker but still good. Hope you get to read and enjoy all of these! 🙂

Thank you!! I am so excited about Song of Achilles because so many people were reading it last year and loving it! I am so excited about all of these still. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the second book in Fortuna Sworn.

The City We Became was another one I was excited by but never got around to last year. And generally fantasy felt like a good place to escape to from the pandemic!
These are the other books I didn’t get around to last year!

Yes, I did read a lot of fantasy for that reason!! I’m hoping this year will be a little better! Going to check out yours now!

I really enjoyed the Mistborn series when I read it, even though it’s definitely not my usual genre. There was that big gap, though, between books 4 and 5, and then I couldn’t move on with the series without going back and re-reading earlier books so I just … didn’t. Oops! It’s a great series, though. I hope you enjoy WELL OF ASCENSION and all these others.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I can totally see that happening. I do that with series that take tooo long between too! I’m glad you enjoyed it and I hope to continue enjoying it! I have heard that the original trilogy is better than the rest… so maybe I’ll stop there. haha

I really need to read Legend as well, it’s been on my TBR for ages! Also, I haven’t read any books by Brandon Sanderson yet but I would like to at some point!

I know, I have all of the series and it’s been on so many TBR’s. I’m hoping it’s as good as people say! Sanderson is brilliant! He was new to me last year and his books are huge and dense but worth it!

Ooh, I’ve only just now noticed your new signature! Super cute 😍🌸 I totally meant to read Clap When You Land last year as well and I did start it but then I got distracted (seems to be my story of 2020 tbh LOL)! This also reminds me that I want to read Fortuna Sworn (those covers are gorgeous)!
