The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. On February 15, 2013, it was relaunched by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. Question: Do you use Goodreads to keep track of your books? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

Yes, absolutely. I always have and I always will, probably. I know that there are other things coming about, like Storygraph. I like Storygraph just fine but I need quick and an app is so much easier for me. I’ve also had some issues with finding books. I know that they are still working things out and it is getting better. Not sure how I feel about paying $50 a year for their plus upgrade.

I get so much from Goodreads though. The lists, the groups, the giveaways, and just so much information. I can find lists for new books. Their awards are a great way to find books too. I always keep tabs on what I’m currently reading and what I will have up next. I even post a widget on my blog so people can see what’s currently on my reading “schedule.” It’s really a fabulous place for readers. Some have a lot of issues with it but I do like it.

Anyways… here are my links to both, if you want to give a follow or add me! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I haven’t hear too much about Storygraph. Probably for the best. LOL I am happy with Goodreads and LibraryThing. They serve their purposes. I don’t use Goodreads much beyond tracking books I’ve read. I belong to a few GR groups but hate the format. I much prefer my reading groups in FB.

I hope you have a great weekend!

    • Yes, I love reading groups in FB bc it’s much more user friendly. I don’t use those too often in GR. Storygraph just came out of beta, I think. It’s limited bc they do a subscriptions service, I don’t do that. So, I think I’ll be sticking with GR besides readathons that are only using StoryGraph right now.
