Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is the Top Ten Funny Book Characters!
I was planning on going through my bookshelves to look for funny book titles. Unfortunately, I have packed away a lot of my books because we plan to move early this summer. I had a lot of trouble this week. I don’t know what’s going on but I changed this topic several times. Finally, I settled on funny book characters! I wasn’t even able to hit 10 this week. Just mental road blocks! haha.

There’s also a ton of funny characters in this book but I love Inej and Kaz!

There are so many funny characters in this book. Trust me, it’s just one you need to read.

Percy is quite the character and has some funny comebacks.

Elizabeth Bennett will always be hilarious. She’s witty and funny.

I was hesitant to put this on here but it’s hard to deny.. Fred and George Weasley are hilarious.

Tyrion Lannister. He’s got the jokes and the wit.
Do you agree or disagree? Anyone I missed (I’M SURE THERE IS!!)? Let’s chat below!
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy ❤

You found hilarious titles. Good job. My TTT Funny Book Titles

I definitely agree with Tyrion Lannister and Fred and George Weasley! The House in the Cerulean Sea was full of hilarious characters and I was smiling and laughing all the way through. Great list!

All great choices!! My favorite combination is when an author uses humor in a serious or tense situation, like in Six of Crows, HP, and GOT. Sometimes we just need that moment of levity. 😉

Thank you!! Yes, it can really help us not feel the all gloom and doom. It wouldn’t be for a very enjoyable read! 🙂

Agree with all of these choices (except Six of Crows, but that’s just because I haven’t read it yet!) – Excellent list and take on this week’s prompt! [My Top Ten]

Six of Crows doesn’t get enough credit for being funny! (Fred and George do, and it’s completely deserved, haha.) Great post!

Big yes to Elizabeth! She will never not be funny 😂 Same goes for the characters in Cerulean Sea! I love the kids so much ❤️ I still haven’t finished the GoT books but I did love Tyrion (especially in the show lol). Great list, Leslie!

Thank you!! I think that’s why I seem to like all the retellings of P&P. Elizabeth is always funny and snarky and that’s my type of character! Haha. I don’t know that anyone will ever get to finish GoT. I wouldn’t waste my time. hahaha!! 😛

Wowww this list made me think if I’ve read any funny characters, but I can’t come up with any! OMG that’s just so sad LOL I do find Sedaris’s essays funny though, in a dark humor sort of way 🙂

I think there’s quite a few funny side characters in a lot of fantasy books because things are always so tense. It helps break up the doom and if you don’t read a ton of fantasy that might be why! 🙂 Nothing wrong with that at all~ ❤

I like your twist on this prompt! Funny book characters are just as good, if not better, than funny titles. 😉 I wholeheartedly agree with The House in the Cerulean Sea! Everything about that book made me crack a smile.

Yeah, they are much more necessary than a funny title! hehe. I know, that book is just going to be one of the greatest! Don’t know how many times I’ve recommended it already. 🙂
