Spell the Month in Books: April!

I saw this over on One Book More and thought it would be a fun new monthly post! I have tagged her post so you can check it out too! It was originally created by Reviews from the Stacks, and the idea is to spell the month using the first letter of book titles.

I’m just going to add a tidbit from the synopsis and whether I’ve read it or want to. I’ll link the Goodreads link on the title, if you want to check it out more!

Happy, April Fool’s Day!

A- Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston

Amari and the Night Brothers (Supernatural Investigations, #1)

“…With an evil magican threatening the whole supernatural world, and her own classmates thinking she is an enemy, Amari has never felt more alone. But if she doesn’t pass the three tryouts, she may never find out what happened to Quinton.”

I really enjoyed this one! 4/5 stars

P- All that Remains by Patricia D. Cornwell

The Paris Library

“Based on the true World War II story of the heroic librarians at the American Library in Paris, this is an unforgettable story of romance, friendship, family, and the power of literature to bring us together, perfect for fans of The Lilac Girls and The Paris Wife.”

Another that I’m looking forward too!

R- Realm Breaker by Victoria Aveyard

Realm Breaker (Realm Breaker, #1)

“A squire, forced to choose between home and honor.
An immortal, avenging a broken promise.
An assassin, exiled and bloodthirsty.
An ancient sorceress, whose riddles hide an eerie foresight.
A forger with a secret past.
A bounty hunter with a score to settle.”

I’m excited for this one! Nervous because I wasn’t a huge fan of her previous series but this sounds good.

I- I Want to Be Where the Normal People Are by Rachel Bloom

I Want To Be Where the Normal People Are

“In the vein of Mindy Kaling, Ali Wong, and Amy Poehler, a collection of hilarious personal essays, poems and even amusement park maps on the subjects of insecurity, fame, anxiety, and much more from the charming and wickedly funny creator of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.”

This was such a fast audiobook. It was funny but a bit graphic. If you watched CE-G then it’s really similar! 4/5 stars

LLore by Alexandra Bracken

Lore

“From the #1 New York Times best-selling author of The Darkest Minds comes a sweepingly ambitious, high-octane tale of power, destiny, love and redemption.”

I cannot wait to read this one! Should be in the next week or two.

  1. Excellent choices! I went with Lost Apothecary for my TBR “L,” but Lore was my other option that I really want to read! Also, I am also looking forward to Realm Breaker and hope it turns out well! 😀
