Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is Top Ten Favorite Places to Read!
Oh, I wonder if I have ten places! I typically read in the same spots over and over. This isn’t going to be in any particular order. This might be the shortest TTT ever, for me!
- I have one of those Egg chairs in my bedroom. I like to read in it because it’s next to a book shelf, big windows, and a lot of plants. Very relaxing!
- A recliner in my living room. It’s where I read 90% of the time when I’m at home.
- My bed. Yep.. sometimes I can’t stop reading a book and just keep going while I’m supposed to be sleeping.
- In the car. When we visit family its about 2.5 hours each way but good reading time.
- I used to read anywhere when I would be waiting for friends at restaurants and such.
- The library… now it’s with my kid! We will read there after Storytime.
These places are not all that exciting but I with being stuck inside a lot now.. it’s what I’ve got. What are your favorite places to read?? Let’s chat below!

A great list of places! I love the idea of reading at the library. I don’t think I’ve ever really done that, other than when I was waiting for the kids to pick their books or finish some activity they were participating in.

Yeah, it’s actually a great place to read because it’s *mostly* quite. haha. It’s much louder in the kids area but I would go to the opposite side. Plus, you are just surrounded by books!

Love the sound of the egg chair! I can visualize it and feel myself sinking into it! Lately, I have been reading on my new sofa, with the pillows behind my back and under my knees. LOL
I also like reading in my computer chair!

That’s exactly what I do.. just sink in with lots of pillows and blankets! My son also has a mini one and he will sit in his with books too. 🙂 Ohh, a new couch!! Nice and comfy. 🙂

I wish I could read in the car, but can or listen to audiobooks or I end up getting car sick.

Yes, yes and yes. We’re pretty much of the same mind 😂 I mostly read in my bed or on my reading chair/recliner next to my bookshelf and I love it!

My husband was a very um, aggressive driver and I had to start reading anytime we went anywhere so I didn’t have a literal heart attack. LOL!

HAHA!! Oh my gosh!! I call my husband a crazy driver, lol. It’s a great distraction though. He probably loves it because I’m not constantly after him to slow down, stop, or watch it. lol

I read in the car whenever my husband drives. lol And I love to read in bed, though I stay up way too late more than I should. haha

Yes, that’s the best way to read. haha. He drives everywhere so it’s a lot of good reading time for me. He listens to his podcasts so it works out. Yes, I’ll be like that in bed all the time! “okay, I can read for about half an hour.” Next thing I know, it’s been over an hour! Oops. haha.

I wish I could read in the car, but I get car sick easily so I can’t read much more than a text without feeling ill. I have to take Dramamine just to go on the wimpiest rides at Disneyland, LOL.

Thanks! I know, I have been wanting one for so long! We decided to get one when they came out with a matching one for kids. So Ollie and I use them 🙂 Plus… being in lockdown then.. why not?! haha

Well, now I need to look up an egg chair and see what it is! Sounds intriguing. I definitely did have trouble thinking of 10 whole places to read. I feel like most of us readers typically have two or three go-to’s that we enjoy the most.

Man, I want an egg chair! Color me jealous. That seems like it’d be a fabulous place for reading. Recliners are also wonderful for reading. I’ve officially hit the recliner age, whatever age that is haha.

Love egg chairs!! We stayed at an Airbnb once that had a couple outside under a porch and it was my favorite reading spot while we were there. Even though it was cooler weather. 😉
