Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is Top Ten Favorite Books about Hype!
I’ve done the Fictional Crushes before and I really didn’t feel like re-visiting that right now. Instead, I’m going to be talking about books five books that you should believe the hype and five that you shouldn’t, IMO! I know we are all different readers but these are ones that I loved and didn’t love, in regards to hype.

This book was everywhere… I almost didn’t even pick it up. I’m so glad I did because it’s one of the best books! Such an amazing story.

I tried this and gave it a couple chapters and decided it wasn’t for me. I watched the movie and then decided to give it another go. I am so glad I did because this book was amazing!

Yes. Yes. Yes. Do it!

I am a hardcore Schwab fan now!

I know that a lot of people love the audiobook cast for this series. I can’t do audio for fiction BUT you should totally read the book along with it if you do. The book has so much illustrations and cool graphics.
Now onto the five that I didn’t love… even though they are super hyped!

I did not enjoy this one. I actually liked the movie better.

I really felt like I was reading a completely different book than everyone else.

The movie was better. I struggled with this one so much. Almost DNF’d it.

Love me some Angels. I did not love this book.

This book took me SO long to read. I should have DNF’d it long before. I don’t get it. I actually am learning that I’m not a fan of John Green and his writing style.
I know that I’m probably in the minority in the books I didn’t like. Did you love/dislike any of these?? Are there other books that are super hyped and you love/disliked it? Let’s chat below!
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy ❤

I also enjoyed Evelyn Hugo… I didn’t know there was a movie of The Book Thief… hm… maybe!

I haven’t tried any of the books you’ve mentioned, other than The Book Thief. I think about got about halfway in and just stopped. I like the premise; I just didn’t really care about the characters.
When you get the chance, I hope you can stop by my post and check it out: https://readbakecreate.com/characters-i-would-love-to-have-a-drink-with/

It’s definitely a different book and a very unique writing style. Watching the movie really helped me connect and made reading the book so much better and easier, after the fact.

Totally agree with you on Mistborn and THE BOOK THIEF! I also liked GIRL ON THE TRAIN. I haven’t seen the movie. In fact, I had kind of forgotten there even was one. I need to watch it!
Happy TTT!
