Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors from 2021!!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is Top Ten New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2021!

I missed like half the year, in regards to reading. I do think I managed 10 new authors, which is awesome! I love reading new authors and I’m hoping to read from more this year.

I did have to stretch it a bit but two of them are not debuts! I checked. They don’t have many other books out but they do. How many new authors did you discover?! Any auto-buy authors?!

Let’s chat below

    • I just finished Clap When You Land over the weekend. It was good too. I did have some trouble with the first half since I’m not used to reading in verse but finished great!

  1. I started The Eye of the World last year but didn’t finish it… I wouldn’t say I DNFed it but I grew a little tired of it and other books clamoured for attention. I hear that you need to wait for book 3 to really get invested and I’m not sure I have the energy! And A Master of Djinn is on my tbr.
These are my new-to-me authors from last year.

    • I totally understand that. I took a few months off about 40% of the way in. It’s way too long and could have been shorter but it was good. My husband was buddy reading it with me and that helped a lot!!

  2. Elizabeth Acevedo is wonderful! I keep hearing a lot of people wrap Jade City, I must make an effort to read that in 2022. Also I bought the first book in The Wheel of Time intending to read it in 2021 but it didn’t quite happen so maybe Robert Jordan will be on my Best New To Me Authors in 2022 list!

    • Jade City is one I would recommend over all of those to make a priority!! Amazing series. Robert Jordan barely made my list bc I finished it the last week in December! It’s good but wow is it long. Good luck when you get to it! I hope you enjoy it. I did and I liked the show too!

  5. Loved With the Fire on High, as well. Several of your other books are on my tbr. I’m determined to finally read All Systems Red this year, and I’ve finally succumbed to the hype for Jade City and placed it on my tbr. Ha!
