Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is Top Ten Books With Your Favorite Trope/Theme (Submitted by Raincheckandread.com)
Well… I’m sure it’s a surprise to no one that I’m going with enemies to lovers. 😀 It’s probably one of my favorite tropes. I especially love it in fantasies when the banter can break up some of the heavier topics. In romances, it is so fun and just adds something extra. Here are some of my favorite enemies to lovers books…

There are so many amazing books that it was so easy to fill this post. I could have kept going. What are our favorite enemies to lovers?? I need more!! haha. Let’s chat below.

You picked some great ones here, Leslie! I particularly love The Winner’s Curse and Tweet Cute. Such cute and amazing romances ♥️

Thank you! It’s been so long since I’ve read The Winner’s Curse that this kind of made me want to re-read it!

I feel that! I’m still uncertain how I feel about the end of the trilogy but oh well

The endings to trilogies are always tough. Most of the time not as satisfying as I would like!

Yeah for sure! It’s a rare occasion that it lives up to what I’m looking for

Some of these books are still on my TBR but I love what you picked out! ❤️

Enemies to lovers are the winning theme for sure today! It’s always fun books to read and even non romance readers (like me) love to read them.

Enemies to lovers is probably my all-time favourite trope, and I love so many of these examples! I finally read Tweet Cute last month and I cannot even say how much I adored it. Great list! ☺️

I know, right?! It’s just so hard not to love. The banter and angst is just top notch if it’s done correctly! Oh, it’s such a cute one! I loved that one too. 🙂

Yes! And probably the only example I can think of where I actually don’t mind a bit of a miscommunication trope?!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh, yes.. that makes sense. Other times that can drive me up a wall. haha
LikeLiked by 1 person
Hard agree haha! The ‘we used to be enemies and now we’re not but neither can tell the other’ thing is the only good way of doing miscommunication, haha.

100 percent! Any other miscommunication is not even acceptable. haha

THE WINNER’S CURSE. I re-read this series a lot and I’m definitely feeling it’s overdue a re-read. I’m re-reading The Selection series again soon which I’m realising is very much enemies to lovers too.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh, yes!! The Selection definitely fits that. I loved that series too. I’m trying to decide if I ever want to re-read that one. I read the first book in her newest series and I hated it. I DNF’d it at 40%. I’m scared that I’ll hate The Selection if I re-read it because it’s been so long.

I just knew enemies to lovers was going to be a super popular choice today! Great list, Leslie 😃 I love so many of these, especially Hating Game, Pride and Prejudice and TVD (of course). I definitely can’t wait to finally read Beach Read and I’m also keen to try The Winner’s Curse!

HAHA! I knew it too but I couldn’t help myself!! I hope to get many more recommendations to read though. LOL. Okay, if you want to read The Winner’s Curse.. I’m thinking I could do a re-read bc it’s been like 10 years- okay- like 7 years. haha. Let me knowwwww! ❤

These are some great choices! I usually prefer friends to lovers, but enemies to lovers does really amp up the romantic tension.

Yes! Angst isn’t always something I enjoy in a book, except when it comes to friends to lovers storylines. Then it’s perfect! 😉
