Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is Top Ten 21st Century Books I Think Will Become Classics (Submitted by Lisa of Hopewell)
Hey everyone! I’m not the biggest fan of classics, per se. I’m not sure how many I’m going to come up with and remember that this is just my opinion. These are books that I hope will be classics but not sure if they will become a classic.

I’ve loved all these books and I think they would make amazing classics!! Leave your links below!!
Let’s chat below.

You have some great titles here, Leslie! Definitely some very popular reads that I’m sure resonate with many people

I have several of these books on my TBR list. I’ve heard good things about all of them!

They are all so wonderful! I hope you get to them at some point. 🙂

I contemplated Strange the Dreamer, too. I need to read the Song of Achilles. My TTT list of books I hope will become classics

Some great books here – the Sepetys was so very powerful!
This is my list of possible classics of the future – there are so many others too!

Thank you! Yes, I read that book years ago and it still has stuck with me.

A great list and agree with nearly all of them. I think I’m definitely unusual though as I really didn’t like The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Everyone else seems to love so I guess it’s just me 😒

That’s okay… not every book is for everyone. It happens all the time with books people love and I get them and really don’t like them! It’s the beauty of reading, we all read it differently. 🙂

I found it really hard to figure out what a classic even is, too–but Evelyn Hugo surely makes the list!

Yes, it’s very difficult. I felt really raw and kinda scared to post! haha. I know, people will disagree with some of them but it’s a hard thing to judge!

Haha I get that! It was so comforting to read how everyone else is uncomfortable determining what it means, too.

Yes, it really was!! Such a hard topic but I feel so much better when everyone else felt that too. 🙂

Definitely, haha!

I think you nailed it, I’m absolutely certain that Evelyn Hugo will become a classic and I have every hope my fave Addie LaRue will too!

It’s fun to see what people have chosen for protentional classics! I’ve only read one on your list and should probably check out the others, lol.

I for real struggled with this one today but I was too lazy to find a new topic or do a twist. welp 😂 This is a great list though—a lot that I still haven’t read yet but I hope to this year but I had Cerulean Sea on my list today too 💜

Yes, it was so hard. I didn’t love it. lol. I was also too lazy to find a new topic. It just felt like too much effort. hahaha! Yay, I’m not surprised we had an overlap! <3<3 <—red hearts bc I'm on my laptop and have no idea how to do a purple heart. LOL

I really enjoyed both Addie LaRue and Salt To The Sea, but wasn’t a massive fan of Strange The Dreamer or The Song of Achilles.

Not every book is for everyone and that’s okay! I am not a fan of most classics, so I’m sure most of these will not become classics. haha!

Ha ha me either, it’s one of the reasons why I didn’t do the topic this week, it felt a bit weird saying books that I loved would become classics when I’ve never been a fan of the ones that are considered classics now.

Yeah, I was running so behind since my in-laws were here for 5 days. I was too lazy to change topics and went with it! haha.

It seems we share Song of Achilles this week. 🙂 Salt to the Sea is still on my TBR. Maybe I should bump it up a bit, according to your list I definitely should!

Aw, thanks!! Lots of pressure, haha! If you do bump it up, I hope you enjoy it. It’s definitely pretty intense but so worth it. 🙂

Oooh, great list! I’ve only read a few of these but I agree with them, especially The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. For some reason, it just feels like a book that could stand the test of time for a long while to come.

Thank you!! Yes, I totally agree. I read it when it came out, which was a few years ago. I love that I just keep seeing it re-appear all over by new readers. Such a wonderful story!

Oops! I completely forgot to include The Song of Achilles on mine. That’s one I’d pick too.

THE NIGHTINGALE is on my list today, too! I think it and THE FOUR WINDS are absolutely classics-in-the-making. Sepetys’ books as well. They’re amazing and I think they definitely have the potential to endure throughout time. Great picks!
Happy TTT!

I love so many of your choices! The House in the Cerulean Sea, The Song of Achilles, YES. I haven’t read A Man Called Ove but I got it for Christmas after loving 2 other Fredrik Backman books and I’m sure I’m going to adore everything he writes.
