Quarter Year Crisis Book Tag!

Hey everyone! I’ve seen a few people doing this and figured I would give it a go! Kind of crazy that we are at this point in the year already.

How many books have you read so far?

Oooh, goodness! I haven’t really kept track of the number but I didn’t realize it hit 64 books!! I have been doing a craft and here’s a photo of my book “read” tracker. haha. It’s a lot of work but so fun!

Have you already found a book you think might be a 2022 favorite?

Yes!! I’ve found a few already! I don’t know how I’m going to do a top 10 at the end of the year! Here are a few that will be on the list.

If not what was your favorite book you read that wasn’t quite five-star?

This was a lot of fun! It’s not something I would have normally picked up. I can’t wait to continue! (I have plenty of faves but wanted to do an almost 5)

Any 1-star books / least favorite book of the year?

HAHAHA! 2 stars. Don’t hate. 😀

Most read genre so far?

According to Storygraph fantasy is still my most read. BUT surprisingly, Romance is a close second!! What!! haha

A book that surprised you?

I didn’t know anything about this book besides I love Justin Baldoni. I was painting a lot of my house and going through audiobooks quickly. I listened to this and LOVED it!

A Book that’s come out in 2022 already that you want to read but haven’t yet?

Soooo many!!! ugh!

One goal you made that you’re succeeding at?

The only goal would be to keep reading my backlist books. I’ve read a good amount of books that I’ve had on my shelves for years. It’s awesome and I partly have to thank Dini!! ❤

One goal you made you need to focus on?

I think I want to focus on my blog a little more. I have been stuck around 700 followers for over a year. I would love to hit 1,000! haha. I’ve never been number-focused but I kind of want to? I have no idea though. I will be lucky to hit 800 this year. Haha!

New to you Booktubers/bookstagrammer/booktokers for 2022 you recommend?

Ohhh… I’ve got some book bloggers!! Check them out. 🙂 I don’t really use booktube or booktok. I’m not the best on bookstagram either. These are some book bloggers that I’ve gotten to know better this year.

I might jump on it too 😃 I’m looking forward to reading all the 2022 releases that you’ve got on here (except for Maas’ one cos I still haven’t even read the first chonkster lol)! Legends & Lattes would defo be up there as a fave for me this year too 😍 I hope you continue to have an amazing year of reading, Leslie! 💜

    • Yay!!! You should do it. I feel like it will be easier to do the mid year and end year wrap up ones, ya know?!! I think I owe a lot of the amazing reading to you! We’ve plowed through so many books and I hope we can keep it up. I mean… I need to stop buying books or I’ll never catch up. 😂 Although, getting older books read is a great feat and I’m happy with that!!! 💜

  4. Great post! You’ve read so many books this year so far! That’s so awesome! I’ve only read two so far, lol. Although, one of those books is now one of my favorite books which is Normal People by Sally Rooney. Omg, so good! I never heard of Colleen Hoover until this year. She’s written so many books I have no idea what to read first. Any recommendations?

    • Thank you! I know, I’ve been doing good but I am sure it will slow way down when it warms up, it usually does. I’ve heard people talk about Normal People! I’m glad you enjoyed it!! Oh, I love CoHo! It Ends With Us is being made into a movie! It’s a great one and I also like: Heart Bones, Maybe Someday, Reminders of Him, Hopeless, and November 9. I mean, pretty much all her books are 4-5 stars for me. Some people don’t enjoy the writing style and that’s okay. I hope you do like any that you do pick up! 🙂
