Top Ten Tuesday: Debuts I Loved!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is Top Ten Books I Wish Had An Epilogue. I’m not really feeling this topic. I have a terrible memory and I think a lot of books have an epilogue. It would take way too long for me to find 10 books that didn’t. I’m going to go with Debuts I Loved. Most of these are a little bit older.. in other words not from this year and maybe from a couple years back!

I’m currently on vacation! We are flying home today but I’m not sure what time we are actually going to be home. I’m scheduling this so it goes up and I hope to be able to blog hop at the airport and drive home. Anyways, here are some debuts I’ve read and loved!

Some of these I don’t see talked about as much anymore and wanted to just give them a little live today. Some I just read and loved!!!

Let’s chat below & drop your links!!

  1. A great change in topic, Leslie! I loved quite a few of these and I’m so glad that we read them together ๐Ÿ˜‚ Gwynne’s debut was definitely a monster in the best way! I’m so glad we ended up loving WHTF too because it definitely had a rough start. A few of these are still on my TBR but I definitely want to get some of them read this year (at least)!

    • I know, WHTF is one of my favorite of our buddy reads. Malice is up there and I’m so glad we actually picked it up!! I think we are kinda behind this month on our Buddy reads because of TWoTQ lol!

    • hahaha.. bc they always offer those and those go well together!!! It was a good flight and we are now home safely, thank you! We were on a discounted flight (not really that cheap though, IMO) and it didn’t offer snacks unless you paid!!! So annoying. haha. We brought our own for the kiddo though!

    • Thank you! Absolutely do it!! It was a lot of fun making it because sometimes we need to take a minute to shine a light on debuts. They start it all anyway! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope that when you get to the others you enjoy them as well. Firekeeper’s Daughter is such an excellent read!!

    • Thank you! I’ve read so many books that I had no idea were debuts until after I read them. Sometimes much later, haha. Yes, I got These Violent Delights in a book box too!! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you have a fabulous week!

  3. I wasn’t feeling this week’s topic either. I love a good debut. The Love Hypothesis was so great. A lot of the other books on your list are on my TBR and I look forward to reading them. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Love this alternative to this week’s prompt! I read Tweet Cute for the first time earlier this year, and I ADORED it. It might be my favourite book of the year so far. I hope you’ve had a lovely holiday!

  5. I really enjoyed A Song of Wraiths of Ruin, the other debuts on your list that I’ve read or rather attempted to read, I unfortunately DNF’ed. I think it was more due to not being in the mood at the time though rather than anything particularly bad about the books, I will probably go back to them all at some point.

    • Thank you! I did have a good vacation but we brought home Covid ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ญ itโ€™s been ROUGH and we are still battling it. Itโ€™s getting better, I think. I hope.

      • Oh no!! Iโ€™m so sorry. I really donโ€™t know how my whole family didnโ€™t come down with it when I had it in May. Get lots of rest and donโ€™t push yourself to bounce back too fast. I definitely had up and down days for almost a month but now Iโ€™m all good. I hope youโ€™re all better soon! โค๏ธ

        • It was so funny because the pediatric nurse told me they recommend quarantineing Oliver away from us. I was like… umm he’s 3. She started laughing and said, I know, right?! You can’t even go to the bathroom alone. haha. He got it first and gave it to us. lol. It was inevitable. I definitely felt better a couple of days ago. I started doing laundry, unpacking and stuff. I way overdid it and I’ve been paying ever since! SO yea… gotta take it easy. I’m finally able to read again so that’s good! Thank you! โค
