Hello my friends. I hope you are all doing well. It’s been a very stressful week. I feel like this country keeps getting worse and worse and there’s no way out. Every single time I think things can’t get worse, they just do. I feel so uninspired and just hopeless. I’m not opening things up to debate. Just know, I’m very discouraged and very angry.

I don’t typically do TBR’s but I always jump on these to see how I do over several months. I’m going to pull up my Spring TBR and see how I did.

Hey, I got 6/10! That’s not bad and much better than I thought it would be. haha. Hopefully, I can get 10/10 one of these times.

I’m sure that I can get through a good amount of these since they are arcs. lol. I do really hope to get to most of these though since they fit prompts for my yearly challenges!

    • I have heard a lot of good things about The Bodyguard. I have read only one of her books and it was really good. I think I’m going to choose it as my BoTM pick, even though, I have an arc. lol

      I totally understand. I don’t do as many blog tours for the same reason… time!! Maybe when my kiddo starts school.

      Yes, it’s absolutely a train wreck right now. 😦

      • I haven’t read any of her books, but it just sounds really good! Haha it is tough isn’t it.

        Mine is starting in September so I am secretly hoping for more reading time inbetween cleaning and tidying!

        It just seems to get worse doesn’t it?!

        • Yeah, the one I read was intense but really good.

          haha! cleaning is never ending. I’ve been doing so much of that this week.

          I know, I’m just trying to be optimistic but who even knows…

          • I am getting back into intense books. I had a bit of a break, but I am getting back into it.

            Yeah. It is crazy. As my son gets older he gets more in the way trying to “help”.

  13. I’m heartbroken and angry, too. Congrats on reading so many of the books on your spring list! I have been trying to keep track of my progress, too, but I’m not very consistent. I love that you rolled the check-in right into this list post, though. That’s an awesome idea. I really want to read A Magic Steeped in Poison and Crying in H Mart, too. I’ve heard amazing things about both of them. Here is my TTT Summer Reading List.

  14. 6 of 10 is really good! And it looks like you have a bunch of good ones left to read! I’ve read Castles in Their Bones, A Violet Made of Thorns, The Bodyguard, A Magic Steeped in Poison, & The Jasmine Throne and enjoyed them all! And I really want to read The Cheat Sheet. It sounds great! I hope you enjoy them all, Leslie!

  17. I read the first two Veronica Speedwell stories and quite enjoyed them – absolutely adored 10000 Doors of January and have the new Taylor Jenkins Reid on my TBR too (great cover, right?) I’m really enjoying the theme this week because I’m getting SO many good book ideas (as if I need more!) and my TBR is growing like crazy. Happy Reading this week.

  19. I always find it so interesting to look back on previous TBRs and see if I managed them–6/10 is a great score! I’m so excited for Carrie Soto is Back, too. I don’t even like tennis, but I’ll give it a go for TJR, haha! Great list.

  20. I feel the same way. Anyway, I’ve been wanting to try Deanna Raybourn for a while. and Alix Harrow as well ever since reading one of her short stories- I think it was over at Tor.

  27. ANSIBQJHWUS 6/10 IS ACTUALLY AMAZING, OKAY?!!!? As someone who usually forgets about tbrs a few days after creating them and thus ends up reading nothing (BUT SHHHH SECRETS) I’M HONESTLY IN AWE OF YOU!!!

    I hope you enjoy all of your summer reads though and omg violet made of thorns JUST SCREAMS SUMMER??

  29. 6/10 is great! I started reading The Cheat Sheet today. I only read 4 chapters but I’m loving the characters! 🙂
    I heard great things about the Veronica Speedwell series. I’m curious about it.
    The Jasmine Throne has been on my TBR for a while. I need to get to it. Great TBR, Leslie!

  32. Things are bad. Honestly, I’ve had to take a step back from the news for my mental health. Especially being here in Texas. It feels hopeless. But I’m just taking a moment to prepare for the fight. 💪

    All My Rage is on my tbr. I’ve read an excerpt and it was good! LOVED The Bodyguard and excited for Carrie Soto!

    • OMG. Texas is the worst. :’-( Yes, It’s all over and totally think you should do that for your mental health. I feel the same. I’m drowning now but starting to get angry because we are going to have to fight and fight hard!!!

  33. AHH I usually don’t make tbrs because I know I never stick to them 🤣🤣🤣 but 6/10 is FANTASTIC!!
