Top Ten Tuesday: Summer Vibes!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is Top Ten Book Covers That Feel Like Summer (Submitted by Ellie @ย Curiosity Killed the Bookworm)

When I think of summer… I think of hot temps. and water. Two things that we spend a lot of time in. I’ll have to do some digging! I am going to split this up with 5 I’ve read and 5 on my TBR.

5 I’VE READ

Beach Read by Emily Henry– This is still my favorite by her. You obviously can’t go wrong with any Henry book as a summer read! I gave this 5/5 stars. Review is here

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid – She is another author with great summer books! This one has the best summer cover though. I gave this 4/5 stars. Review is here

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han– This cover doesn’t particularly scream summer vibes but the book itself does! I gave this 4/5 stars.

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren– This duo also has an abundance of amazing summer reads. This book is still my favorite by them! It’s also got the perfect summer vibes on the cover. I gave this 4/5 stars. Review is here

The Guncle by Steven Rowley– I’m not sure why I don’t see more of this book around. It’s really a great book! I gave it 4/5 stars. Review is here

5 ON MY TBR

I don’t have much to say about these except that I’m so excited to read them. I need to start with the ones I’ve had on my TBR the longest though! haha

Have you read any of these or have them on your TBR??? I hope you are all doing well. โค

  1. I’ve heard that a show is planned for Where the Crawdads Sing. I hope it releases in the summer too. ๐Ÿ™‚ And you’re right, Guncle looks amazing and charming, but I haven’t seen too many reviews/ mentions of it.

    • Yes, I had heard that it was going to be a show but I think they changed it to a movie. I think it comes out this month? Guncle is so good!! I wish I saw it more. I try to showcase it as much as I can. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I had Beach Read and Guncle on my list today too. I still need to read these books but they give off that perfect summery vibe ๐Ÿ˜ I can’t wait to read Every Summer After at some point as wellโ€”maybe we can read it together if we’re up for it?! Great list, Leslie!

    • YAY! You need to read both because they are amazing! OMG. Yes, lets do it. Can we fit it in soon?? I feel like I need a quick read and I feel like that will be one of those. I’m reading and ARC but I don’t know that it will take me too long. I miss our super fast, crazy buddy reads! โค

  3. I used TJR’s cover today as well. What I’m fascinated by, though, is that I didn’t even look close enough at Hoover’s cover before to realize it was a beach. Haha. I mean, I saw the water. I just didn’t look any closer.

  4. I’m super surprised your list is the only one I’ve seen It Starts With Us on! That seems like such a wildly talked about new release (plus, come on, anything Hoover, right?). It just makes me want to jet off to a warm island. ^.^

    • Thank you! I will read anything TJR writes. Malibu was good and kind of connected to her previous two books. Just some characters slowly weaving in and out but nothing major. They are not considered a series but the cameos are nice!
