What was the last book you read?

Did this book meet your expectations?

Not really? I didn’t have the highest expectations but it didn’t hit as hard as Six Crimson Cranes. I think it kind of fell a little below my expectations, which is sad. It’s still a enjoyable read but there are a lot of plot and pacing issues.

Will you recommend this book to others?

If you enjoyed the first book and want more of the characters and world- yes. I loved the characters and the romance is so sweet! Just go in knowing that it’s not on the same level of SCC.

Why did you pick this book?

We both received an ARC (Thanks, Orbit) of this and wanted to buddy read it together. It comes out September 6th!

How much time do you think you’ll take to finish your current read?

We are pretty quick readers so I don’t think it will take too long. When this posts we will probably be finished. haha

What genre would you like to read next?

I need a romance but I have had this on my WWW for several weeks now and it’s coming out in a couple weeks. So, I’m going to read this one and then pick up a romance next!

What would you like to pick: a long read or a short read?

I neeeed a short read. I just finished a really long fantasy and it was slow.
