Spell the Month in Books: October!

I saw this over on One Book More and thought it would be a fun monthly post! I have tagged her post so you can check it out too! It was originally created by Reviews from the Stacks, and the idea is to spell the month using the first letter of book titles.

I’m just going to add a tidbit from the synopsis and whether I’ve read it or want to. I’ll link the Goodreads link on the title if you want to check it out more!

I just realized that the rest of the year are such long months when it comes to letters! haha.

O- One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig

“When Elspeth meets a mysterious highwayman on the forest road, her life takes a drastic turn. Thrust into a world of shadow and deception, she joins a dangerous quest to cure Blunder from the dark magic infecting it. And the highwayman? He just so happens to be the King’s nephew, Captain of the most dangerous men in Blunder…and guilty of high treason.”

This was amazing!

C- Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid

“In spite of it all, Carrie Soto is back, for one epic final season. In this riveting and unforgettable novel, Taylor Jenkins Reid tells her most vulnerable, emotional story yet.”

This was another great one from TJR. Not my favorite but still really good.

T- Teach Me by Olivia Dade

“Their lesson plans didn’t include love. But that’s about to change…”

I saw Dini talking about this one and I really want to read it now! haha

O- Oleander Sword, The by Tasha Suri

“The prophecy of the nameless god—the words that declared Malini the rightful empress of Parijatdvipa—has proven a blessing and curse. She is determined to claim the throne that fate offered her. But even with the strength of the rage in her heart and the army of loyal men by her side, deposing her brother is going to be a brutal and bloody fight.”

This is a sequel and it’s a great series!

B- Bodyguard, The by Katherine Center

She’s got his back. He’s got her heart. They’ve got a secret. What could possibly go wrong???

I loved this one so much. The fact that she’s the bodyguard added a whole different level to this book!

E- Enola Holmes: The Graphic Novels, vol. 2 by Serena Blasco

“In Book 2 of the series, Enola is back on the case, deciphering clues and developing leads in each of three new mysteries. What she doesn’t know is that she, too, is being pursued—by her own brother! Once again, Sherlock Holmes’ brilliant, strong-willed younger sister takes center stage in this delightfully drawn graphic novel based on Nancy Springer’s bestselling mystery series”

This was such a beautiful and fun read!

R- Raven and the Rush, The by Sarah M. Cradit

“One raven. One boy. One destiny.

From the USA Today and International Bestselling Author of Kingdom of the White Sea comes a new series set in the same vibrant world: The Book of All Things. Escape into this story of destiny and forbidden love weaving together a fate bigger than man, bigger than magic.”

This cover alone is stunning!

  1. Yay! I loved Teach Me and it was the first (and still the only) Olivia Dade book I’ve read but it made me want to check out all her other books too. I’m also really eager to check out One Dark Window after seeing so many people rave about it. And of course, Carrie Soto cos TJR is queen! 😍 Great pick of books!

  2. I thought I’d see this but somehow I must have missed it again.

I agree with you. Long words. And some of the letters have been used again and again. But I see you managed.

Anyway, here was my October and this is my November post.
