Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week is Top Ten Halloween Reads!
I don’t typically have a lot of these for recommendations because I don’t like scary books. I have read a lot of books that play that fine line though. These were all very good and had some spooky vibes but not horror. 🙂

This was such a surprise and a great view of Mother Gothel!

I just think these give off a lot of mystery and kind of dark vibes. I think it fits! Really have been enjoying these graphic novels though.

Loved this book!! I thought it was going to be much scarier than it was. A great dark read!

The apocalypse is always a scary thought.. so definitely fits. lol

Definitely perfect for the season! All the witchy vibes and small town secrets.

Dracula just screams Halloween vibes, right?! Yes!! This is a short read too, so you can still fit it in!

These are all SO CREEPY but really good. Definitely a great Halloween read!

This is much more romance-y than spooky but there’s some zombie and undertaking going on. It hits some vibes!!

I think this is just a great book and definitely got some great intensity and so it’s a stretch for Halloween vibes. lol

This has some dark vibes and it’s got some creepy bugs all over it. It’s a great duology though!!
I got some books on here that I think fit perfectly. Some of the others are a bit of a stretch but I think they are good for the season!! Happy Halloween, lovelies!! ❤

Great list! I also went with some halloweenie books that were non-spooky 😂 I’ve got way too many of these on my TBR still and can’t wait to read them. I really wish that I had more time to get more in this month but alas, how are we already at the end of October?!

I don’t really like full on horror books/films either, I’m better with the spooky vibes. I’m currently reading The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy and think that definitely fits in that category. I have Spells for Forgetting on my TBR too which I hope to get to soon.

I normally only read spooky and scary reads during Halloween. Not much during the rest of the year.
Spells for Forgetting is on my TBR and I hope to get to it soon…
Have a fun Halloween!

Thank you! It’s just the hint of spooky. If I’m scared to turn the lights off and have to run up the stairs.. it’s too much. haha

Great list, Leslie! These are my kind of Halloween reads – not super scary but still have the dark, ominous vibes.

I don’t really read Halloween type books. Normally, I have to do thrillers if I do a list like that. That being said, Spells for Forgetting is calling me. I love the cover and title and the way you described it makes me even more curious!

Oh, yes.. Thrillers are ones that I’m coming around to more. Some of them still scare the crap out of me though, haha! Spells for Forgetting is a good one!!

That’s the vibe I like as well—spooky, not scary. I haven’t read any of these, so I’ll have to check them out.
Happy TTT!
