W.W.W. 3/15/23

This is a weekly meme hosted by, Taking on a World of Words. It’s where we talk about the Three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you will read next?

How are we half finished with March already?! I feel like we just started the month! I’m so hoping that the warmer weather is right around the corner. It’s always so hard when we’ve got several days of warm and several of winter in the same week! It snowed the last two days. lol! In other news, I’m 25 weeks tomorrow! I don’t have any more scans until I’m 32 weeks, which feels so weird! It’s very nice though. Then I have weekly ultrasounds the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy because… I AM 35! Insane! lol I’m so tired of being coded as “elderly” lol

I am buddy reading this with Julie and Dini. We needed something quick after we didn’t love our last buddy read.

I was not expecting to read this until later in the month. With the time change my kiddo asked for a nap (WHAT?!) He wanted rocked and I can’t carry him/lift him with my restrictions. I finished Chain of Iron and needed another ebook, while he napped. This book is SO emotional and not an easy read but so good!

Ugh.. this was entirely too long and I despise love triangles. I’m so not looking forward to the next book. sigh

Dini, Julie, and I buddy-read this and we all kind of came to the same conclusion. This was not for us!

So..I’m not really that excited to jump into this. I need to force myself though. I had put the ebook on hold and will read it when it comes in. I cannot hold that chunky book at the moment. haha

I have this as an ARC and I’m starting to see mixed reviews so I need to read it asap! lol. Plus, it would be another arc down. I’m trying to do an owned book and then an arc. We will see where my mood takes me.

What are you reading this week?? Leave your links below and I’ll check them out!!

Stay safe and healthy! Happy Reading!

    • Wow, that sounds terrible! I take my GD 1 hour this Saturday and am sure I will fail. I failed last time but passed the 3 hour. This turd decided to flip breech at 20 weeks and still is. I don’t know about you, but after I have an ultrasound, I’m exhausted and hurting for a few days. I can understand how you would be exhausted by the time he got here. They will do both each week… like I have all the time in the world & on demand babysitter’s for my 3 year old. Sigh. I wish people would be more honest about how terrible and terrifying pregnancy can be. Glow my ASS! lol.

  1. Funny that 35 is considered old with a pregnancy. I thought it wasn’t until after 40. But, things seem to always be changing in that area, and it’s been 15 years since I’ve had a baby. I totally need in on one of y’alls group buddy reads!

    • It’s so dumb. It’s all about money too. The amount of ultrasounds and appts. tacked on just bc of my age and NOTHING else.. is insane. There will be 10 extra and 8 NST’s before this is over. Did not happen with my baby 4 years ago. I’m “elderly” and was asked if I lived in a nursing home, when I was scheduling my first ultrasound. What?! haha.

Yeah! We will have to find a book we all have an arc to or want to read!!

  2. I was 36 when I had my youngest daughter and hated being labeled advanced maternal age. My husband thought it was hilarious, and he still makes jokes about it (and congrats on the baby!!) I was considered high risk due to pregnancy-induced hypertension, so I went in weekly after 35 weeks.

I also have almost all of those books on my TBR. Can’t wait to read your reviews on them!!

    • Thank you!! I hate being called that. For some reason it really hits a nerve?? Maybe bc I’m only 35 and they treat me like I’m 65? But all the extra bloodwork and ultrasounds is insanely overdone. I’m high risk bc I have IC, but I’ve gotten so many things added on just because of my age. lol

      • I felt the same way. My husand would joke about me being an old lady after the appointments….not something you do to a 36 week pregnant woman…lol. And yes, the bloodwork and ultrasounds were annoying.

  3. I am trying to read an ARC a week as well as my books from the library. That should keep up to date with finishing books before they are published. Of course, it only works if I don’t request any new ones 😃
